Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's 7-6 loss to Atlanta.

Getting the start at DH and hitting cleanup, Cabrera drilled his fifth homer of the year down the left-field line off southpaw Grant Dayton in the fifth inning. It was his first long ball hitting right-handed, as most of the switch hitter's damage has come from the left side of the plate, but that's been more than enough as Cabrera is slashing .271/.342/.586 with 15 RBI in 19 games.

Alonso went 3-for-3 with two walks and two solo home runs in Monday's 11-4 win over the Marlins.

He went back-to-back with Robinson Cano in the sixth inning, as each player launched two homers on the night. Alonso had a rough start to the year but he now has three long balls and three multi-hit efforts in his last five starts, pushing his slash line up to .241/.359/.448 through 23 games.

France was recalled from the Padres' alternate training site Monday.

France was sent to alternate camp Thursday, but he'll now return to the active roster after Tommy Pham (hand) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday. The 26-year-old saw inconsistent time in the starting lineup during his first stint on the active roster, and he should continue to serve in a depth role going forward.

Flores isn't in the lineup Monday against the Angels.

Flores had started the last six games for the Giants, but he'll get a breather Monday. Pablo Sandoval will serve as the designated hitter in Flores' absence.

Naylor and Edward Olivares could see added opportunities at designated hitter or in left field after Padres manager Jayce Tingler announced Monday that Tommy Pham (hand) would miss 4-to-6 weeks, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

The Padres intended for Pham to be their primary left fielder this season, but nagging groin and calf injuries have resulted in him making 10 of his 23 starts at designated hitter. Now that Pham's fractured hamate bone is expected to sideline him for most of what's left of the season, the Padres will presumably go with two of Wil Myers, Naylor and Edward Olivares as their primary options in left field and at DH against right-handed pitching, while Ty France and/or Jorge Mateo could factor in at either spot versus left-handed pitching. Naylor boasts intriguing raw power and has thus far shown the ability to keep his strikeouts in check at the MLB level, but he has yet to reach his full potential as a slugger. Through 295 career plate appearances, Naylor has slashed .250/.315/.403 (90 wRC+).

Calhoun went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Padres.

Calhoun launched his team-leading sixth homer and fourth in the last six games in the third inning. He's thrived atop the batting order for the Diamondbacks, going 8-for-24 with four extra-base hits, nine RBI and a 1.110 OPS over five games since being installed as the leadoff hitter against right-handers.

Hiura went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run Sunday against the Cubs.

Hiura came through with a big home run in the third inning to knot the game at 3-3. It was his fifth home run of the season and pulled him out of a 1-for-20 slump across his previous five contests. Despite a decent homer tally, Hiura has struggled to a .225/.284/.438 line across 88 plate appearances this season.

Beaty went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Angels.

In the fourth inning, Beaty reached on an infield single and scored on Corey Seager's three-run blast. Beaty then knocked a homer of his own in the sixth. The three-hit effort raised Beaty's batting average to .208 in 24 at-bats. He's added two homers, two RBI and four runs scored this season, mostly in a bench role.

The Padres recalled Naylor from their alternate training site Sunday.

Naylor will provide some extra insurance in the corner outfield for San Diego while Wil Myers (back) remains on the bench for Sunday's series finale with the Diamondbacks. The 23-year-old earned a spot on the Padres' Opening Day roster but saw little action, going 3-for-13 while appearing in six games before he was optioned to the alternate site Aug. 6.

Flores will serve as the Giants' designated hitter and will bat sixth Sunday against the Athletics, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Flores will make his sixth consecutive start and seems to have at least temporarily emerged as manager Gabe Kapler's preferred designated hitter. The 29-year-old has produced six hits over his last two games, raising his season average to .307.
