Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Strokes pair of RBI singles
Dalbec went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Rays.
Newly minted as the August Rookie of the Month, Dalbec delivered a pair of run-producing singles in the win. He hit safely for a seventh consecutive game, during which he's 10-for-22 (.455) with four home runs and 11 RBI. For the month of August, the 26-year-old slashed .339/.431/.774 (1.205 OPS) over 24 games, belting seven homers and delivering 21 runs. It's been quite a turnaround for Dalbec, who has slumped all season and survived challenges to his playing time since July.

Luke Raley RF | SEA
Dodgers' Luke Raley: Shifts to 60-day IL
Raley was placed on the 60-day injured list for an undisclosed reason Wednesday, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The organization didn't officially give a designation for Raley's move to the IL, but Castillo suggests that he is likely one of two players currently inactive for Triple-A Oklahoma City for COVID-19 reasons. Raley slashed .169/.246/.237 with one home run and 22 strikeouts across 65 plate appearances with the big club earlier this season. His transfer to the IL, along with that of Sheldon Neuse (undisclosed), allowed Los Angeles to add Jake Jewell and Ryan Meisinger to the 40-man roster.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Heads to injured list
Flores was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring Thursday.
Flores left Wednesday's game against the Brewers with what was originally called hamstring tightness, but it turns out the injury is serious enough to cost him at least 10 days. It looks as though he'll miss at least a bit longer than that, with Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reporting that Flores is expected to miss a couple weeks. Mauricio Dubon was recalled to take his place on the roster, giving the Giants another right-handed bat.

Giants' Wilmer Flores: Dealing with tight hamstring
Flores left Wednesday's game against the Brewers with left hamstring tightness, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Flores went 1-for-3 at the plate before exiting. The Giants are expected to face lefties in each of their next three games, which are matchups in which the utility infielder would typically start. The team could wind up with one more lefty in the lineup than normal for those contests if Flores isn't ready to go.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Goes yard twice in matinee
Goldschmidt went 2-for-2 with two walks, two home runs and three RBI in a 5-4 win over the Reds during the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
He opened the scoring on the afternoon with a solo shot in the first inning and then launched a game-winning two-run shot in the fourth, with both blasts coming off Wade Miley. After going 0-for-2 in the nightcap, Goldschmidt is batting .287 on the season with 24 homers, 10 steals, 74 runs and 82 RBI through 130 contests. Goldschmidt has now gone yard three times over the last two days entering Wednesday's nightcap.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Out of Wednesday's lineup
Dalbec is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rays, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Dalbec started the past three contests and is 9-for-23 with four homers, two doubles, nine RBI and six runs in his past eight games, but he'll receive a breather Wednesday with Kyle Schwarber starting at first base. Dalbec appears to have jumped Travis Shaw for reps at first base thanks to the recent hot streak, though both players could see their playing time dip if Schwarber starts to see more time at the position.
