Freeman went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run during Wednesday's 5-1 victory versus Atlanta.

The 32-year-old was without a homer through the first nine games of the season but went deep twice against his former team this week, this time off Charlie Morton to open the scoring during the first inning Wednesday. Freeman is off to a hot start for the Dodgers with a .333/.400/.521 slash line to go with two home runs, three doubles, seven RBI and nine runs.

Abreu is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Guardians.

Abeau went 1-for-4 during the 11-1 loss in Game 1 and will head to the bench for Wednesday's nightcap, which is his first game off of the season. Gavin Sheets will start at first base in his place.

Naylor isn't starting the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

Naylor will get a breather after he went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI in Wednesday's matinee. Bobby Bradley will start at first base while Oscar Mercado takes over in right field.

Rizzo went 0-for-2 with three walks, a run and a stolen base Tuesday in a 4-2 victory versus the Tigers.

Rizzo came into the contest having gone 1-for-13 over his previous four games. Though he wasn't able to produce any hits Tuesday, he reached base three times via walks and stole his first base of the campaign. Rizzo is hitting just .200 on the season but has a .404 on-base percentage thanks to an 8:7 BB:K across 47 plate appearances.

Votto went 1-for-4 with a base hit in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Padres.

After a hot finish to the 2021 season and a strong spring training, Votto has been one of the bigger fantasy disappointments through the first two weeks of the 2022 campaign. While starting in each of the Reds' first 12 games, Votto is hitting just .119 with a career-low 8.7 percent walk rate and a career-worst 37.5 strikeout rate. Despite Votto's ongoing struggles, the Reds haven't yet considered moving him down in the order; he'll hit cleanup Wednesday for the 13th straight contest.

Diaz isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Diaz was initially expected to get a day off Monday, but he was a late addition to the lineup after Wander Franco was scratched with quad tightness. Diaz will instead get a breather Wednesday while Taylor Walls starts at the hot corner and bats eighth.

Santana (undisclosed) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

The Royals made Santana a late scratch from the lineup ahead of Tuesday's 4-3 win, but an explanation for his removal from the starting nine wasn't immediately provided. Until more information behind the nature of his absence is available, Santana can be viewed as day-to-day. Hunter Dozier will pick up another start at first base in Santana's stead.

Voit isn't starting Wednesday against the Reds.

Voit started the last two games and went 0-for-5 with an RBI, two walks and two strikeouts. Manny Machado will serve as the designated hitter while Ha-Seong Kim enters the lineup at third base.

Manager Joe Girardi suggested Wednesday that Hoskins will have a long leash as the Phillies' No. 2 hitter against both left- and right-handed pitching, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. "We're going to leave the lineup the same for a little bit," Girardi said. "See how that goes."

Girardi is hoping that Segura's speed at the top of the order and Hoskins' on-base skills out of the two hole will help create more run-producing opportunities for the thumpers in the heart of the Philadelphia lineup (Bryce Harper, Nick Castellanos, J.T. Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber). With a .243 average, one home run, no stolen bases, seven runs and four RBI through 12 games, Hoskins has delivered modest results in traditional 5x5 fantasy leagues, but a 19.6 percent walk rate has lifted his on-base average to an impressive .391 across 46 plate appearances.

Bohm will start at third base and bat seventh Wednesday against the Rockies.

After a three-error performance at third base April 11 against the Mets, Bohm didn't earn any starts in the field in the six games that followed, with his lone entry into the lineup during that stretch coming as a designated hitter. He finally returned to the hot corner for Monday's series opener in Colorado, and after two clean days in the field, he'll start at third base for the third straight contest Wednesday. Bohm now looks to be firmly ahead of Bryson Stott in the pecking order at third base, though Johan Camargo -- who is filling in at shortstop for a banged-up Didi Gregorius (hand) on Wednesday -- could still challenge him for work.
