He hit back-to-back jacks with Adolis Garcia in the eighth inning, giving the Rangers a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Lowe has had a solid start in Texas after an offseason trade from Tampa Bay, hitting .254 (18-for-71) through 19 games with five homers and 17 RBI.

Rizzo displayed great patience at the plate and contributed to the dominant Chicago win. While the star first baseman hasn't produced to his typical levels yet, the fact that he's seemingly seeing the ball well is a good sign that big numbers could be coming soon.

Olson went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Wednesday's 13-12 extra-inning win over the Twins.
The first baseman went yard twice against Kenta Maeda, helping to chase the right-hander from the game after only three innings. Olson has been on fire lately, hitting safely in seven straight games and going 11-for-26 (.423) with five homers and nine RBI.

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Knocks in all three runs in loss
Gurriel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Wednesdays' 6-3 loss to the Rockies.
Gurriel swatted a game-tying two-run homer off Rockies starter Austin Gomber in the second inning. In the ninth, Gurriel earned another RBI with a groundout to plate Carlos Correa. The 36-year-old Gurriel is slashing .333/.452/.500 with two homers, eight RBI and six runs scored across 73 plate appearances.

Mountcastle went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to the Marlins.
Mountcastle drew the start in left field and hit third Wednesday. In the fourth inning, he drew a walk and stole second, but he was left stranded. The 24-year-old is slashing only .169/.203/.277 with a homer, seven RBI, six runs scored and two stolen bases across 69 plate appearances. He's in a 0-for-18 rut at the plate. The Orioles begin a three-game series with the Athletics on Friday, and the return to AL play enables the utilization of Mountcastle as the designated hitter.

Giants' Donovan Solano: Out with calf strain
Solano suffered a right calf strain Wednesday against the Phillies and will miss "some time," per manager Gabe Kapler, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
It sounds like Solano is ticketed for the injured list. This should open up some playing time for Mauricio Dubon and Wilmer Flores in the short term.

Manager Don Mattingly said Wednesday that Cooper is "a little nicked up" with a groin injury, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Cooper didn't appear in Wednesday's win over Baltimore, and Mattingly revealed after the game that the 30-year-old was held out as a precautionary measure. Mattingly didn't sound too concerned about Cooper's injury, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Thursday's series opener against the Giants.

Solano exited Wednesday's game against the Phillies in the top of the sixth inning with an apparent leg injury, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Solano doubled in the top of the sixth inning Wednesday, but he pulled up while running from second to third base and was immediately removed from the game. The exact nature and severity of the injury aren't yet clear.
