Alonso went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Thursday against the Yankees.
Alonso had a game to forget until the 10th inning, when he came to the plate in a tie game. He smacked his eighth homer of the season over the left-field wall to give the Mets a walkoff victory. Alonso has now homered in consecutive games, though he has collected just five hits in his last 41 at-bats. While his overall performance at the plate has been disappointing, Alonso has still managed 19 runs scored and 22 RBI while hitting just .209/.323/.410 across 158 plate appearances.

After recording hits in each of the past four games, Tellez will take a seat Thursday. Teoscar Hernandez will take over as the designated hitter with Jonathan Villar entering the lineup at second base.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's win over the Orioles.
He crushed a sixth-inning pitch from John Means and deposited it into the second deck in left field at Camden Yards, chasing the southpaw from the game in the process. Alonso has had a tough season and can't seem to build any momentum at the plate, but despite a .722 OPS he's still supplied solid power numbers with seven homers and 20 RBI through 36 games.

Bell is not in Thursday's lineup against the Cubs.
Bell is hitting .292 with two home runs and an 8:4 K:BB in 24 at-bats over his last seven games. Colin Moran will start at first base while Gregory Polanco gets the nod at designated hitter.

Walker went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.
Walker had just one home run over the first 28 games but has found his power stroke. Over the last eight contests, the first baseman is 9-for-30 (.300) with four homers and 12 RBI. On a separate note, Walker batted third in the order for the second straight game. That was the batting-order slot of the now-traded Starling Marte.

Rizzo beat a drawn in Pirates' infield to collect a two-RBI single in the seventh inning. With the performance, he now has at least one hit in nine of his last 10 games, racking up three home runs with eight RBI and six runs scored in that span. Overall, Rizzo is hitting .232/.366/.456 across 153 plate appearances for the season.
