Tellez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

For the second straight day, the Brewers are facing a southpaw starter (Drew Smyly), so Tellez will once again find himself on the bench. Platoon mate Owen Miller will step in for Tellez at first base and bat cleanup.

Montero went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Tigers.

Montero handled the everyday first base duties for the majority of the time that C.J. Cron was sidelined with a back injury. However, since Cron's return Tuesday, Montero has started only three of six games. He hasn't pushed for more playing time with his performance, as he has maintained only a .157/.167/.294 line while striking out at a 38.9 percent clip across 51 at-bats in the last calendar month.

Steer went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Padres.

Steer made Adrian Morejon pay for hitting Joey Votto, when he launched a four-seamer 441 feet into the second deck in left field. It was the rookie's 14th home run and second in three games off San Diego pitching. The infielder is 11-for-28 (.393) with seven walks (.514 OBP), four home runs and 10 RBI over the last eight contests.

Naylor went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Cubs.

Naylor came up clutch for the Guardians in extras after singling home two runs off Adbert Alzolay, which wound up winning the game and the series. He's been scorching hot at the plate since the start of June, slashing .376/.397/.523 with 12 extra-base hits, 20 RBI, 15 runs and a 4:17 BB:K in 27 games. He now sits at 60 RBI for the year, which is currently good for fifth in baseball, and continues to be an impactful bat in what's been an underwhelming offensive unit overall.

Alonso went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win over San Francisco.

Alonso's 25th homer of the year was a two-run blast in the eighth inning. It was his first long ball since June 25 and his third in 14 games since returning from the injured list. During that 14-game stretch, he's hitting .173 (9-for-52) with a 4:12 BB:K and six extra-base hits. Alonso's season OPS was raised to .836 with Sunday's big performance.

Torkelson went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a double, two walks and two additional runs scored in Sunday's 14-9 win over the Rockies.

Torkelson's seventh-inning blast was his 12th homer of the year and his fourth in his last five games. Over that span, he's gone 7-for-18 (.389) with eight RBI and five walks. It's still a small stretch of success, but it appears the first baseman is getting more comfortable midway through his second big-league season. He's up to a .228/.312/.404 slash line with 42 RBI, 40 runs scored, 18 doubles and two stolen bases through 81 contests.

Lowe went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a double in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Astros.

Lowe had hit a small rough patch by going 2-for-16 over his previous four games. His eighth-inning homer briefly got the Rangers within a run, snapping his 16-game power drought. The first baseman is up to nine long balls, 45 RBI, 53 runs scored, 22 doubles and a triple while slashing a steady .276/.369/.433 through 83 contests.

Abreu went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Rangers.

Abreu's hitting came around as he batted .292 in June, and after an 0-for-3 effort Saturday, he bounced back with Sunday's three-hit game. It's just his second three-hit effort of the year, the other being June 14 versus the Nationals. The first baseman is up to a .240/.291/.344 slash line with six home runs, 41 RBI, 26 runs scored and 14 doubles through 80 contests. Making more consistent contact is helping improve his line, but he's still lacking in the power department, though he has an extra-base hit in five of his last eight contests.

Wade (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The 29-year-old was held out of the lineup Saturday due to lower-back discomfort, and he'll sit again for the series finale. Lefty David Peterson is pitching for New York, so Wade may have been on the bench Sunday regardless of the injury. Wilmer Flores will receive another look at first base.

Cron is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Cron recently returned from a six-week absence due to back spasms and will sit Sunday after making five straight starts. The 33-year-old has gone 6-for-17 with a double, a walk, an RBI and four runs since he returned from the injured list. Elehuris Montero will man first base in the series finale versus Detroit.
