  • LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW

Giants' LaMonte Wade: Not in Friday's lineup

Wade isn't starting Friday against the Diamondbacks, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Wade went 3-for-7 with a double, two runs, an RBI and a walk over the last two games but will retreat to the bench with left-hander Tommy Henry on the mound for Arizona on Friday. J.D. Davis is starting at first base and batting fifth.

  • Josh Bell DH | MIN

Padres' Josh Bell: Not starting Friday

Bell is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Rockies, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Bell started the past three games and will head to the bench after he went 1-for-10 with two walks and a run scored. Brandon Drury will serve as the designated hitter while Wil Myers starts at first base.

  • C.J. Cron 1B | BOS

Rockies' C.J. Cron: Still out Friday

Cron (hand) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Cron exited Wednesday's game after being hit by a pitch on his left hand, and he'll sit for a second straight game Friday due to the bruise. The 32-year-old should be considered day-to-day while Michael Toglia receives another start at first base.

  • Donovan Solano 1B | TEX

Reds' Donovan Solano: Scratched from Friday's lineup

Solano was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Brewers for an undisclosed reason.

Solano was slated to start at first base Friday, but Spencer Steer will shift to first base while Alejo Lopez enters the lineup in left field. It's not yet clear whether Solano will be available off the bench.

  • Yandy Diaz 1B | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Sitting again Friday

Diaz (shoulder) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Diaz recently received a cortisone injection in his sore right shoulder and is out Friday for the fourth straight contest. Isaac Paredes will start at the hot corner and bat sixth.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Sitting versus lefty

Rizzo isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Boston.

Rizzo holds a .895 OPS against left-handed pitching this season, but he will sit out the start of Friday's game with Rich Hill on the mound for the Red Sox. Marwin Gonzalez will take his spot at first base and bat eighth.

  • Spencer Steer 1B | CIN

Reds' Spencer Steer: Back in action Friday

Steer (eye) is starting Friday against Milwaukee.

Steer sat out the last two games due to an eye infection, but he'll start at the hot corner and bat second during Friday's matchup. Over his last three games, he's gone 1-for-8 with a run, an RBI, a walk and four strikeouts.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Keeps up hot hitting Thursday

France went 2-for-4 with an RBI sacrifice fly, a triple and a run in a win over the Athletics on Thursday.

France's RBI ironically didn't stem from his leadoff triple in the sixth inning, his first of the season. However, he did come around to score on Jarred Kelenic's double later in that frame, and he was able to author his third multi-hit effort in the last seven games in the process. France also has seven RBI during that span, courtesy of a .333 average with men on base in the sample.

  • Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Slams 36th homer

Walker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.

The game unfolded as a pitching duel between Julio Urias and Zac Gallen, but Walker looked to have stolen some of the spotlight with his go-ahead solo homer off Craig Kimbrel in the ninth inning. However, Los Angeles came back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to pull out the victory. Walker's homer was his fourth over his past eight games and pushed him to 36 long balls on the season, tied for sixth-most in the league.

  • Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Homers in win

Aranda went 2-for-4 with one homer, one RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's 10-5 victory over the Blue Jays.

Aranda sparked the Rays offense with a leadoff home run off Jose Berrios in the first inning and came around to score again in the second on a Wander Franco single. The third-baseman reached base three times in the contest, scoring a run on each occasion. It was a nice game for Aranda, who was held hitless in the previous three-game series against the Astros. The promising rookie is hitting a solid .278 with two homers and six RBI through 22 games this season, while also drawing six walks.
