Drury (impaired vision) will not return from the disabled list during the Yankees' series with the Astros this week, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Although Drury is reportedly feeling better and playing regularly with the team's Triple-A affiliate, the Yankees seem to be willing to wait things out a little longer. The strong play of youngsters Miguel Andujar and Gleyber Torres is also likely playing into this decision, making it seem as if the Yankees are unwilling to have Drury usurp either of those two infielders for playing time. According to Triple-A manager Bobby Mitchell, it sounds like Drury won't be ready to return for Friday's series opener against the Indians, Brendan Kuty of NJ.com reports.

Ngoepe is back in the big leagues, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.

Ngoepe was called up to replace the injured Randal Grichuk (knee). He spent the start of the season on the Blue Jays' bench but went just 1-for-18 with 12 strikeouts before being sent to Triple-A Buffalo in mid-April. Nothing in his profile suggests that he'll be much of a fantasy asset this time around, either.

Renda signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox on Monday, MLB.com reports.

Renda played exclusively at the Triple-A level in 2017 while splitting time between the Cincinnati and Arizona systems, slashing .250/.293/.317 across 208 at-bats. He'll likely report to Triple-A Pawtucket or Double-A Portland with his new organization and will function as a depth option in the infield.

Solarte went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI Sunday as the Blue Jays defeated the Rangers 7-2.

Solarte's seventh home run of the year came in the second inning as he hit a solo shot off Martin Perez. Solarte has been a sound source of power early this year, as he's on track to surpass last season's career-high 18 home runs. Although his .231 batting average is underwhelming, Solarte has struck out in just 15.5 percent of his plate appearances, leaving room for him to approach his .265 career batting average.

Drury (impaired vision) is participating in a rehab assignment at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre but remains without an estimated return date, Marc Carig of The Athletic New York reports.

Since beginning his rehab assignment on April 24, Drury has played in four games. Over said outings, he's gone 6-for-13 (.462) and scored three runs. However, it's unclear when the Yankees are looking to bring him off the disabled list. It remains to be seen what Drury's role will be once he returns to full health, as top prospects Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar have been sound options since being promoted to the big club.

Altuve went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored Saturday against the Athletics.

Altuve continues to get on base at a prolific rate and is now hitting .351/.411/.450 after his four-hit performance Saturday. He also hit his second home run of the week, a positive sign after struggling to hit for power early in the season.

Semien went 2-for-4 with two runs in a win over the Astros on Friday.

Semien continued producing out of the leadoff spot Friday, posting his fifth two-hit effort of the last six games. The hot-hitting shortstop has reached safely in eight straight contests overall, a stretch during which he's raised his average 39 points to .286.

Merrifield is not in the lineup Thursday against the White Sox, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Merrifield is heating up at the plate, hitting safely in six of his last seven games and hitting three home runs in that span. He'll head to the bench for a night off Thursday however, allowing Ryan Goins to pick up a start at the keystone.

Semien went 2-for-4 with a run in a loss to the Rangers on Wednesday.

Semien's hitting streak now sits at five games, and he's reached safely in seven consecutive contests overall. The red-hot shortstop has boosted his average by 31 points to .278 since April 18, a stretch during which he's churned out five multi-hit efforts.

Solarte went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Red Sox.

The solo blast -- his sixth of the year -- put the Blue Jays ahead for the first time in the sixth inning, but the bullpen couldn't make it hold up. The 30-year-old is well on his way to topping last season's career-best 18 home runs, and his OPS sits at an .865 mark that ranks as a personal best by a wide margin.
