Arroyo isn't starting the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Arroyo started at second base during Sunday's matinee but went 0-for-4 in the win. Enrique Hernandez will take over at the keystone and bat seventh in the nightcap.

Caballero is not in the starting lineup versus the White Sox on Sunday.

Caballero will get a day off after going 1-for-5 with a double in Saturday's extra-innings loss to Chicago. Kolten Wong will get the start at second base and hit ninth for the series finale.

The Royals placed Massey on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a left hand laceration.

Massey will be out for at least a week while he recovers from the cut near his finger he suffered Thursday. The infielder is replaced on the 26-man active roster by Matt Beaty, who had his contract selected in the corresponding move.

Massey (finger) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

The 25-year-old will be on the bench for the third consecutive game after being scratched from Friday's lineup due to a laceration on his left index finger. Nicky Lopez will start at second base in place of Massey on Sunday.

Altuve is not in the starting lineup versus the Reds on Sunday.

As expected, Altuve is getting the day off with Astros manager Dusty Baker giving the infielder a maintenance day to keep him fresh through the 2023 campaign. Mauricio Dubon is hitting at the top of the order and playing second base while Altuve begins Sunday's contest on the bench.

Stefanic went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in a loss to Kansas City on Saturday.

Stefanic was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday after slashing .347/.446/.449 over 259 plate appearances with the minor-league club. He got the start at second base for the Angels on Saturday and was one of four players on the team with multiple hits, one of which was a sixth-inning double that resulted in his first big-league RBI. It remains to be seen how often Stefanic will play, and he struggled with a .197/.279/.230 slash line over 69 plate appearances in his first cup of coffee in the majors last season. However, he's a .318 career hitter in the minors (albeit with mediocre power and speed), so his bat could eventually help him carve out a role as an on-base specialist capable of playing multiple positions.

Rosario went 4-for-5 in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Rosario and leadoff hitter Steven Kwan combined to go 8-for-10 atop the order, but the rest of the Guardians mustered just one hit and four walks. Over his last 11 contests, Rosario has gone 16-for-44 (.364) with three doubles, four RBI and six runs scored. The shortstop is at least swinging the bat better, but his teammates remain inconsistent. Rosario owns a .248/.296/.335 slash line with a home run, 17 RBI, 30 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 63 contests.

Gimenez went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two total RBI in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Gimenez provided the Guardians' first two run scoring plays before Arizona's offense took over. The second baseman has hit safely in three straight games for the first time since May 30 to June 1. He has a .244/.307/.372 slash line with five homers, 22 RBI, 29 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 67 contests. Like many of his teammates, Gimenez has struggled to hit consistently, putting him noticeably behind his pace from 2022.

Altuve went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a solo homer and one steal in Saturday's 10-3 loss against the Reds.

Altuve notched his first four-hit game of the season and hit his first home run since May 29. The veteran missed the beginning of the campaign while working his way back from a thumb injury and got off to a fast start, slashing .316/.409/.553 over his first 10 games. However, he had just six hits over his last nine games (37 plate appearances) coming into Saturday. Despite his recent struggles, Altuve figures to be a mainstay at second base as long as he's healthy.

Drury went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and solo home run in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Royals.

Coming into the contest, Drury hadn't hit a home run since June 1, but he notched his second multi-homer game of the season Saturday. The slugger struggled to start the year, slashing just .179/.208/.269 over his first 20 appearances, but he's been red hot since then, totaling 11 home runs, 14 doubles, two triples, 31 RBI and 24 runs scored over his last 44 games.
