  • Royals' Whit Merrifield: Swipes fifth base

Merrifield went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 8-1 win over Cleveland.

One game after seeing his club record 31-game hitting streak snapped, Merrifield got right back on his horse. The 30-year-old is now slashing .328/.361/.500 through 13 games with a homer, five steals, 13 runs and five RBI, and the Royals' leadoff hitter should remain the most reliable fantasy asset in the team's lineup.

  • Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI

Rangers' Elvis Andrus: Productive in loss

Andrus went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a stolen base in Friday's 8-6 loss to the A's.

The steal was his third of the year, while the homer was his second. Andrus is off to a great start, slashing .389/.400/.556 through 13 games, and while his 1:12 BB:K is a reminder that his batting average could cool off in a hurry, the 30-year-old shortstop is once again showing the 20-20 form he flashed in 2017.

  • Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Goes deep twice

Lowe went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's win over the Blue Jays.

Lowe slugged a pair of two-run homers in an 11-7 victory for the Rays. After launching six home runs over 43 games a season ago, the 24-year-old has put on a display of power to open up the 2019 campaign and now sits with four long balls in 13 contests.

  • Blue Jays' Brandon Drury: Not starting Friday

Drury is out of the lineup Friday against Tampa Bay.

Drury is 1-for-22 with 12 strikeouts over his last six games so he'll head to the bench for the series opener. Richard Urena will start at third base and bat seventh in his absence.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Athletics' Marcus Semien: Remains hot in win

Semien went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run and a second run scored in a win over the Orioles on Thursday.

Semien's 396-foot solo shot to left in the ninth gave the Athletics some breathing room by extending their lead to 8-5. The hot-hitting shortstop has now reached safely in nine consecutive games and has three multi-hit outings over his last four contests. Factoring in Thursday's production, Semien's average is up to .323 over 73 plate appearances.

  • Royals' Whit Merrifield: Snaps 31-game hitting streak

Merrifield went 0-for-6 in Thursday's loss to Seattle.

Merrifield set a franchise record by extending his hitting streak to 31 games Wednesday night, but his historic run would come to an end after taking the collar at the plate in the series finale. He'll look to begin a new streak starting Friday against the Indians.

  • Royals' Whit Merrifield: Sets new team hit record

Merrifield went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Mariners.

His seventh-inning bunt single not only brought home Terrance Gore from third to tie the game at 5-5, it extended Merrifield's hitting streak to 31 games -- breaking George Brett's franchise record, set during his historic 1980 campaign. Merrifield is now slashing .340/.380/.532 through 11 games with a homer, five RBI, 11 runs and four steals.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Goes deep twice

Altuve went 2-for-4 with two home runs in a win over the Yankees on Wednesday.

Altuve crushed two solo blasts off James Paxton for the fourth multi-home run game of his career. The 28-year-old has hit a home run in three consecutive games and has quickly alleviated any concerns about a slow start to the year. Altuve is hitting .314 with five home runs on the young season.

  • Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM

Rangers' Andy Ibanez: Back in action

Ibanez went 1-for-4 with an RBI for Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

An oblique injury cost Ibanez most of spring training, but timing has not been an issue early on; Ibanez is 7-for-12 with a pair of doubles and zero strikeouts through three games. While Ibanez lacks the requisite power or speed to be an attractive dynasty piece, he has enough bat-to-ball ability to crack the big leagues, perhaps as soon as this summer.

  • Jorge Polanco DH | NYM

Twins' Jorge Polanco: Continues with hot bat

Polanco went 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple, two runs scored and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Mets.

Less than a week after recording a cycle against the Phillies, Polanco flirted with the achievement once again, but was left standing in the on-deck circle during the Twins' final at-bat while missing a double. The 25-year-old is slashing .405/.450/.811 with three doubles, three triples and two home runs through 35 plate appearances.
