Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Idle for second straight vs. LHP
Stott is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
Stott will take a seat for the second night in a row while the Cubs send another lefty (Matthew Boyd) to the hill. Edmundo Sosa will once again fill in for Stott at second base.

Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL
Brewers' Luis Rengifo: Run of starts ends
Rengifo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.
Rengifo will hit the bench after he had drawn starts in each of the last five games while going 5-for-16 with two doubles, two walks, three RBI, three runs and one stolen base. Joey Ortiz is back in the lineup Wednesday after sitting for three of those five contests, but he's put together a weak .192/.263/.192 slash line over 59 plate appearances, which has loosened his grip on the everyday role at shortstop. If Ortiz ends up losing playing time, Rengifo would likely take over as the Brewers' primary third baseman, with David Hamilton shifting over to shortstop.

Connor Norby 2B | MIA
Marlins' Connor Norby: Receiving breather Wednesday
Norby is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
Liam Hicks will fill in at first base for Norby, who will receive a rest for the matinee game after starting in each of the Marlins' previous 11 contests while slashing .282/.326/.436 with one home run, five RBI and three runs. Christopher Morel (oblique) could soon return from the injured list and unseat Norby as the Marlins' primary first baseman, though Norby might still have a path to receiving steady reps at either third base or designated hitter.

Brice Turang 2B | MIL
Brewers' Brice Turang: Drives in four in Tuesday's rout
Turang went 2-for-5 with four RBI in Tuesday's 12-4 win over the Tigers.
A bases-loaded single in the second inning brought home two runs, and Turang added two more RBI with a single in the seven and a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The second baseman had a breakout 2025, but he may not have found his ceiling yet -- through 20 games to begin the current campaign he's slashing .307/.430/.560 with 10 extra-base hits including four homers, plus six steals, 18 RBI and 19 runs.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Season-high four hits Tuesday
Garcia went 4-for-5 with a double, a stolen base, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 11-4 win over Atlanta.
Garcia had a total of four hits in his previous 13 games combined, so Tuesday's performance was a big boon to his batting average. After recording multiple hits in three of the Nationals' first eight games, Garcia had been just 5-for-43 (.116) at the plate over the last 14 games prior to Tuesday's season-high four hits. Garcia is now slashing .247/.284/.364 with one home run, 15 RBI, 10 runs scored, two stolen bases and a 4:12 BB:K across 81 trips to the plate.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Tees off again Tuesday
Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Phillies.
Hoerner continued his surprising power surge, as he now has four home runs this season through 23 contests, including three in his last six games. The 28-year-old had only seven long balls in each of the last two regular seasons, and he came into this year with just 36 career long balls across seven MLB campaigns. Hoerner is known mostly for his speed, but his power has been a pleasant bonus, and he's batting a scintillating .326 in the early going. The infielder's strong start has locked him into the leadoff spot for the Cubs.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Pirates' Brandon Lowe: Managing knee issue
Lowe is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers due to left knee discomfort, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Lowe presumably sustained the injury over the weekend against the Rays and is not starting for a second consecutive game. Manager Don Kelly downplayed the issue and indicated the second baseman could be available off the bench Tuesday.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Mets' Marcus Semien: Getting turn in leadoff spot
Semien will start at second base and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game against the Twins.
Semien is slashing only .234/.294/.312 on the season but has reached base eight times across his last four contests. The mini hot stretch has earned Semien a turn in the leadoff spot for the first time this season as the Mets try to snap an 11-game losing streak.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Rockies' Edouard Julien: Idle against southpaw
Julien is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.
While Julien has taken hold of the leadoff spot against right-handed pitching, the Rockies will continue to shield the left-handed batter from southpaws. Jordan Beck will replace Julien as the team's table setter Monday while lefty Justin Wrobleski toes the rubber for the Dodgers.
