Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Returns to lineup
India (lower leg) is batting second and playing second base Tuesday against the Phillies.
India returns to action, albeit in an uncharacteristic lineup spot, after being scratched from Monday's starting nine. The second baseman has just six hits with 12 strikeouts in 35 at-bats since the beginning of August.

Rylan Bannon 2B | NYM
Braves' Rylan Bannon: Claimed by Atlanta
Atlanta claimed Bannon off waivers from the Dodgers and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
Bannon finds a new home after the Dodgers designated him for assignment Friday. The infielder's only four games of MLB action came in May with the Orioles, and it would likely take more injuries in Atlanta's big-league infield for Bannon to get a call-up.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Four hits in losing effort
McNeil went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Monday's 13-1 loss to Atlanta.
He was the only Mets hitter to have much success against Spencer Strider and the Atlanta bullpen, and McNeil accounted for over half of New York's seven hits on the night. The 30-year-old is locked in at the plate right now, producing eight multi-hit efforts over his last 16 games and slashing a dazzling .458/.484/.780 over that stretch with 10 doubles, three homers, 10 RBI and 11 runs.

Josh Rojas 3B | CHW
Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Running wild
Rojas went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Giants.
Rojas stole a base for the third consecutive game and is up to 16, a career high in the majors, and he has not been caught. He hasn't been as prolific a base stealer as when he was a minor leaguer; Rojas stole 38 bags in 2018 and 32 in 2019 before becoming a regular for Arizona.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Injury may not be serious
Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Marte's hamstring does not warrant a trip to the injured list, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Marte was removed from Sunday's game in Colorado during the ninth inning when he felt tightness in his left hamstring. Lovullo said there are no plans for Marte to undergo imaging, a sign that the team feels the injury is not serious. The Diamondbacks noted this was the third time Marte injured his hamstring while playing in Denver, and Lovullo said the second baseman will likely get one day off every time the team travels to Colorado. The Diamondbacks will be in Denver for a third and final time from Sept. 9 through 11.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Homers again in win
Lux went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a 4-0 victory against Milwaukee on Monday.
Lux's sixth-inning homer to left field put the final insurance runs on the board for Los Angeles. It was his second long ball in three days following a 22-game stretch without going deep. Lux's .296 season batting average is impressive but comes with only six homers. He'll see his fantasy value jump down the stretch if he's able to continue unlocking more power.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Will miss several weeks
Guillorme will miss at least three weeks with a left groin strain, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
There were conflicting reports on exactly how much time Guillorme will miss, but he will be out of action until at least sometime in September. Guillorme was placed on the injured list Monday night and was replaced on the roster by Deven Marrero, who along with Eduardo Escobar will handle the hot corner until Guillorme is ready to return.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Scratched Monday
India (lower leg) was scratched from Monday's lineup against the Phillies, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
India has missed the last three games due to a lower leg injury and was initially slated to return to the lineup Monday. While the Reds haven't yet provided a reason for removing him from Monday's lineup, it seems likely that he needs at least another day to recover from his lower leg issue. Whether he's available off the bench remains to be seen, but Matt Reynolds will take over at the keystone and bat sixth.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Not part of Monday's lineup
Marte (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.
The extent of Marte's injury is not yet known, but it will force him to the bench for at least one night. Josh Rojas will man the keystone in Marte's place.
