Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Takes seat Friday
Rodgers is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies.
Rodgers enters the weekend having gone 5-for-18 with two doubles and a run scored across the past four games. He'll get his first breather of the month as Ryan McMahon shifts to the keystone and Colton Welker mans third base Friday.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Pops fourth homer
Garcia went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's loss to Atlanta.
Garcia is quietly putting together a nice little stretch as the regular second baseman for Washington; he's now 14-for-44 with nine extra-base hits (seven doubles, one triple, one homer) in his last 10 games. He's not much of a stolen-base threat, but it's nice to see Garcia enjoy some big-league success after his initial struggles upon breaking in at age 20.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Riding pine Thursday
McNeil isn't starting Thursday's game against the Marlins, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
McNeil will head to the bench after he went 2-for-13 with a run across the last three games. Dominic Smith will start in left field and bat seventh.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Padres' Adam Frazier: Plates three in huge second inning
Frazier went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Angels.
Frazier started and finished the scoring in the Padres' eight-run second inning that essentially accounted for the Friars' entire output on the night. He plated Wil Myers on his double to deep left center, then drove home Eric Hosmer and Myers on a base hit in his second at-bat of the inning. Incredibly, the three-RBI inning matched Frazier's output from his first 34 games with the Padres combined.

Isan Diaz 2B | DET
Marlins' Isan Diaz: Takes over as top third baseman
Diaz will start at third base and bat eighth Wednesday against the Mets, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Despite going hitless in eight at-bats over his last three games, Diaz will stick in the starting nine at the hot corner for the fourth straight contest. After Brian Anderson (shoulder) was moved to the injured list Sept. 3 with an injury that will likely sideline him for the rest of the season, Diaz should have a decent amount of leash in an everyday role at third base.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: One away from 20-homer club
India went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk and an additional run in Tuesday's 4-3 win.
India bolstered his National League Rookie of the Year case with two more extra-base hits, and his 19 home runs trail only Chicago's Patrick Wisdom (25) for most in the NL among first-year players. The 24-year-old will look to keep rolling in Wednesday's series finale; he'll start at second base and bat leadoff against the Cubs' Alec Mills.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Homer streak at four games
Albies went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, four RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-5 win over Washington.
The second baseman was the hero Tuesday. He helped Atlanta retake the lead in the seventh inning with a two-run blast, and he added an RBI single for insurance in the eighth. Albies has homered in four straight games and now has 27 for the year. He's added a .262/.318/.502 slash line with 93 RBI, 88 runs scored and 17 stolen bases across 581 plate appearances.
-
Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Padres' Adam Frazier: On bench Tuesday
Frazier is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Angels.
Frazier has hits in each of his past two games after going 4-for-33 in his previous 13 contests, but he'll take a seat for Tuesday's matchup with the Halos. Ha-Seong Kim will start at the keystone in his absence.

Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL
Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Knocks in two in win
Dubon went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 10-5 win over Colorado.
Mike Yastrzemski (illness) was scratched from the lineup and Dubon slotted into the No. 7 spot in the order. The 27-year-old delivered arguably his best game of the season on short notice, which included a two-run single in the sixth inning for San Francisco's last runs. He's slashing .241/.280/.382 with five home runs, 22 RBI, 19 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases through 182 plate appearances. With center field a sudden point of weakness for the Giants, Dubon and Steven Duggar could both see short-term increases in playing time.
-
Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Goes deep twice in win
Estrada went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Monday's victory over the Rockies.
The 25-year-old went deep off of Kyle Freeland in back-to-back innings with a solo shot in the fourth and then a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Estrada has operated mostly as a bench bat this season and had struggled to a .108 batting average while posting zero multi-hit performances in 14 games and 37 at-bats since the beginning of August prior to Monday. On the bright side, he has now hit three home runs in his last five games after having only three homers on the season before this recent hot streak.
