Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Sitting again Sunday

Dubon is out of the lineup Sunday versus the Rangers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Dubon started the first five games of the season, but he'll now be on the bench for the fourth time in the past five games. Donovan Solano will start again at the keystone Sunday for the Giants.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Returns to bench Sunday

Albies (wrist) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

The 23-year-old was limited to bench duties Friday while battling a right wrist issue but returned to the lineup Saturday, though it appears he's still not past the injury. Albies will be available off the bench Sunday, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com, but he'll likely be receiving regular maintenance days over the next few weeks to help manage the injury. Adeiny Hechavarria receives another start at the keystone for the Braves.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Optioned to alternate camp

Rojas was optioned to the Diamondbacks' alternate training site Saturday.

Rojas had logged just one at-bat over Arizona's first eight games this season, but Andy Young was called up to take his place in a corresponding move Saturday. Given Rojas' struggles at the plate during camp and lack of usage to begin the season, it's unlikely that he'll have a role with the major-league club unless injuries pile up.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Not starting Saturday

Dubon isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers.

Dubon provided a nice boost to the Giants' offense with a multi-hit performance Friday, but he'll take a seat Saturday for the third time in the past four games. Donovan Solano is starting at second base and batting third.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: On bench again Saturday

Hernandez is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

After starting the season with seven consecutive starts, Hernandez will sit for the second straight game against Arizona. Max Muncy will shift to second base with Matt Beaty starting at first base and batting ninth.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Back in starting nine

Albies (wrist) is starting Saturday against the Mets and batting second.

Although Albies was held out of the lineup Friday with a stiff right wrist, he appeared as a pinch hitter and went 0-for-1. Given the brevity of his absence, the 23-year-old should be available going forward.

  • Isan Diaz 2B | DET

Marlins' Isan Diaz: Opts out of 2020 season

Diaz opted out of the 2020 season Saturday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

Diaz was considering opting out amid the Marlins' COVID-19 outbreak, but he was officially placed on the restricted list Saturday. He becomes the 15th player to opt out during the shortened 2020 campaign in which many players have concerns about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Once the Marlins resume play, Jonathan Villar and Sean Rodriguez should handle most of the duties at second base.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Starts at shortstop

Marte started at shortstop and went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers.

Marte started at second base the first seven games before moving to shortstop Friday. The regular starter at short, the slumping Nick Ahmed, was given an off day. Marte's one of the few Diamondbacks making consistent contact to start the season. He's hit in seven of the first eight games, including multiple hits in four of them, with four extra-base hits and a slash line of .344/.371/.531.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: On base three times

Dubon went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a run scored and a walk in Friday's 9-2 win over the Rangers.

Dubon made an impact from the No. 9 spot in the batting order, providing an insurance run when he scored catcher Chadwick Tromp with a single in the sixth inning. Dubon has hit .238/.273/.286 with two RBI and three runs scored in seven games. The 26-year-old will likely see the short-side role in a shortstop platoon with Brandon Crawford. Dubon can also get time at second base and center field.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Heads to bench

Hernandez is not starting Friday against Arizona, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Hernandez opened the year with five straight starts but now sits for the second time in the last three games. Chris Taylor takes over at second base.
