Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Plays three positions Monday
Marte went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Monday's 7-5 win over the Marlins.
Marte started in center field, then moved to second base when Jarrod Dyson pinch ran for Wilmer Flores, before he ended up at shortstop when Nick Ahmed (finger) left the game. Ahmed was confident when talking to Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic about returning in time for Tuesday's game. If Ahmed is not cleared for Tuesday, Marte could slot in at shortstop for the 11th time this season.

Isan Diaz 2B | DET
Marlins' Isan Diaz: On bench Monday
Diaz is not in the lineup Monday against the Diamondbacks, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Diaz has been a near-everyday starter at second base since making his big-league debut in early August, though he hasn't exactly earned such a role. He's hit just .153/.248/.260 in 37 games. Starlin Castro slides to second base in his absence, with Jon Berti starting at third.

Corban Joseph 2B | BAL
Pirates' Corban Joseph: Picked up by Pirates
Joseph was claimed off waivers by the Pirates on Monday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Joseph will now head to his third team of the season. He's done very little in 19 games for Oakland and San Francisco so far this year, hitting .151/.193/.245. It's hard to envision him playing a major role in Pittsburgh over the final two weeks.

Padres' Luis Urias: Stays hot in loss
Urias went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and a double in a loss to Colorado on Sunday.
Urias crushed a 441-foot shot to center field in the second inning to plate the Padres' first run. The rookie has found his groove at the plate over the last nine games, batting .400 (14-for-35) with four walks and six RBI. The hot streak has pushed Urias' average over .220 for the first time this season, and his current slash line sits at .223/.337/.326 in 205 plate appearances.

Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL
Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Knocks solo homer
Dubon went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Sunday's 2-1 win over Miami.
Dubon's third-inning homer opened the game's scoring and would be the only extra-base hit for either team Sunday. The rookie infielder owns a .843 OPS and seven extra-base hits in his first 57 career plate appearances.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Hits second MLB home run
Hoerner went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and three runs scored in Saturday's 14-1 win over the Pirates.
Hoerner connected off Clay Holmes in the sixth inning with two aboard to balloon the Chicago lead to 13-1. In six games since his MLB debut on Monday, Hoerner is 10-for-24 (.417). The 22-year-old should see regular playing time with Javier Baez (thumb) and Addison Russell (head) both out.

Corban Joseph 2B | BAL
Giants' Corban Joseph: Designated for assignment
Joseph was designated for assignment by the Giants on Saturday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Joseph's tenure with San Francisco lasted a little over a week; he was claimed off waivers from Oakland on Sept. 3. He logged 16 at-bats across eight games, managed one hit while striking out six times. The 30-year-old will now take another spin through waivers.

Cristhian Adames 2B | MIA
Giants' Cristhian Adames: Joins major-league team
Adames was called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
After being released by the Cubs in July, Adames joined the Giants on a minor-league deal and went on to hit .283/.364/.517 in 43 regular-season games with Sacramento. He also helped secure the team's first Pacific Coast League title in 11 years. The 28-year-old will provide middle-infield depth over the final couple weeks.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Moves to middle of order Saturday
Frazier will bat fifth and start at second base Saturday against the Cubs.
Due in part to injuries to Starling Marte and Josh Bell, Frazier will hit fifth for the first time in 2019 and third time in his career. He has four hits, including a double and a homer, in 10 career at-bats against starter Kyle Hendricks. Since Aug. 20, the second baseman is slashing .373/.409/.614 in 90 plate appearances.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Hits first MLB home run
Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a walk, a two-run home run, two runs scored and four total RBI in Friday's 18-7 win over the Pirates.
Hoerner connected off Pittsburgh starter Steven Brault in the first inning for his first career MLB home run. The 22-year-old shortstop, who is one of the top prospects in the Cubs' system, has shined since his MLB debut Monday. In five games, he's slashing .350/.435/.600, and with Javier Baez (thumb) and Addison Russell (head) both out, Hoerner should continue to see regular playing time.
