  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Good times still rolling

Frazier collected two hits for the second straight game Monday, going 2-for-5 with an RBI single.

He made his first start in right field since early August, allowing Josh Harrison (hamstring) to play second base for the first time in September. Frazier is the early favorite to start at second base in 2019, but he will likely remain in right field the rest of this season with Gregory Polanco (knee) ruled out for the remainder of the campaign. Since his recall July 25, Frazier is slashing .350/.400/.593 with 15 doubles, five homers and 21 RBI in 135 plate appearances.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Doubles, triples in win

Albies went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Giants.

Albies' second half has been a far cry from his brilliant first half, as even with Monday's production factored in he's still batting just .253/.294/.353 since the All-Star break (170 at-bats). Those struggles have resulted in Albies falling to the bottom third of the batting order recently, but his season stats remain beyond impressive for a 21-year-old and he's shown improvement from the right side of the plate, providing a silver lining during this rough stretch.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Out again Monday

Marte is on the bench Monday against the Rockies.

Marte has been struggling against right-handed pitching of late and will sit for the third time in four games. He'll give way to Daniel Descalso, who looks to have at least temporarily secured the larger portion of the timeshare at the keystone.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Padres' Luis Urias: Goes deep in win

Urias went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Reds.

Urias returned to the lineup after a scheduled rest day Saturday, and he cashed in with his second home run of the year. The 21-year-old is slashing just .205/.265/.364 over his first 49 major-league plate appearances, but his dynasty value remains high despite the early struggles.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Not in Sunday's lineup

Marte is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Braves, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Marte hits the bench for the second time in the series as he is 4-for-20 since the start of September. Daniel Descalso will start at second base and bat fifth for the Diamondbacks with Nick Ahmed back at shortstop.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Three hits in win over Phillies

McNeil went 3-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-5 win over the Phillies.

It's his third straight contest with an extra-base hit, and McNeil has pushed his slash line with the Mets back up to .329/.389/.483 through 43 games. The 26-year-old rookie appears to be locking down a starting role at the keystone for 2019 with his impressive debut.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Padres' Luis Urias: Not in Saturday's lineup

Urias is out of the lineup against Cincinnati on Saturday.

Urias will retreat to the bench for a standard day off following 10 straight starts after being called up in late August. During those contests, he's gone 7-for-39 (.179 average) with one home run and three RBI. Cory Spangenberg will man the keystone and bat seventh.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Not starting Friday

Marte is not in the lineup Friday against the Braves.

Marte is hitting .324 over his last 10 games. He'll head to the bench in favor of Daniel Descalso.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Hits bench Friday

Rosario is not starting Friday against the Phillies.

Rosario is riding an eight-game hitting streak in which he's hit .432 with a 1.015 OPS. Jose Reyes will start in his place at shortstop.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Out Friday against Marlins

Frazier is not in Friday's lineup against the Marlins.

Frazier, who has been the Bucs' most productive hitter over the last month, will sit out in favor of rookie Kevin Kramer. Frazier appeared to tweak a calf muscle during one of his at-bats Wednesday, but the team hasn't announced an injury. He has two hits in six career at-bats against starter, Dan Straily. Most likely, manager Clint Hurdle is simply packaging an off day with Friday's game to give the 26-year-old two consecutive days of rest.
