  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Heads to bench for second game of twin bill

Frazier is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Tigers.

Frazier will take a seat for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader after going just 1-for-6 in Game 1. Max Moroff will pick up a start at the keystone in his stead.

  • Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Logan Forsythe: Throwing delayed further

Forsythe (shoulder) still hasn't thrown but intends to restart his throwing program Friday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The veteran infielder was initially scheduled to start his throwing program Monday, but he wound up waiting a bit longer since the inflammation in his shoulder had yet to subside. Forsythe reportedly feels better now, so he'll look ahead to Friday to get back on track.

Dodgers' Logan Forsythe: Back to throwing Monday

Forsythe (shoulder) resumed throwing Monday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

This is a big step for the infielder, as he's been in the no-throw section of his rehab program for a week already. He's eligible to return from the disabled list in the coming days, but it seems like he'll need another week or so to recover since he just started throwing.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Padres' Luis Urias: Reaches base four times Sunday

Urias went 2-for-3 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and three runs Sunday for Triple-A El Paso in its 9-6 win over Las Vegas.

Urias has reached base in seven straight contests and now sports a .269/.372/.373 line through 78 plate appearances. The batting average is actually something of a disappointment considering Urias has hit no worse than .290 at any stop in the minors, but his 10:15 BB:K suggests that he's still taking a solid approach at the plate. The second baseman shouldn't be expected to offer much juice in the home-run or stolen-base categories, but his impressive hit tool could make him a mainstay near the top of the order for the Padres once he gets the call to the majors.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Hitting stride with High-A club

Lux is hitting .270/.373/.333 with four doubles and two stolen bases across 75 plate appearances with High-A Rancho Cucamonga this season.

After going 1-for-20 at the dish through his first five games, Lux has settled into a groove in the California League, hitting .372 while reaching base at a .462 clip over his past 11 starts. Lux has displayed impressive plate discipline at each of his four stops in the minors since being drafted in 2016, but the shortstop hasn't quite developed the power the Dodgers were probably banking on when they selected him 20th overall. The 20-year-old has just seven home runs in 720 career minor-league at-bats and owns a meager .358 slugging percentage over parts of two campaigns in full-season ball.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Brewers' Mauricio Dubon: Batting average over .300

Dubon is 19-for-61 (.311) with two home runs, eight RBI and three steals through 15 games with Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Dubon's OBP (.306) during the same period is lower than his batting average thanks to him failing to take a walk thus far, but he does only have seven strikeouts while adding eight extra-base hits, so the overall results are still passable. Dubon was added to the Brewers' 40-man roster over the winter, so he will garner consideration should the squad need to call up an infielder from the minors.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Turns in five-hit performance

Rodgers went 5-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBI and three runs for Double-A Hartford in the club's 11-9 win over Harrisburg on Sunday.

After a slow start to the Eastern League season, Rodgers has settled into a groove at Hartford, notching hits in each of his last six games while maintaining a .520/.538/.800 slash line over that span. Rodgers has had the luxury of playing in hitter-friendly environments at the rookie-ball, Low-A and High-A levels, so his production at a more neutral setting in Hartford this season should provide a better barometer of his true talent level. The 21-year-old's combination of above-average power and an above-average hit tool should make him a long-term infield starter for Colorado when he hits the big leagues, though his exact position remains up for debate. Rodgers has already made starts at shortstop (nine), second base (four) and third base (one) at Double-A this season.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Blasts pinch-hit home run

Hernandez hit a solo homer as a pinch hitter Saturday against the Nationals.

Hernandez came off the bench in the seventh inning and popped his second home run of the season. He is known for being able to hit left-handed pitching well, but he;s been dismal at the plate regardless of the handedness of the pitcher to begin the season. He has gotten inconsistent at-bats of late, but if he builds off this performance, he could find himself back in the lineup regularly again.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Not starting Saturday

Rosario is not in the lineup Saturday against the Braves, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Rosario will sit in favor of Jose Reyes for just the third time this season. The 22-year-old is hitting a mediocre .250/.297/.367 so far this season.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Out of Saturday's lineup

Frazier is not in the lineup against Philadelphia on Saturday.

Frazier will retreat to the bench following three straight starts, including an 0-for-5 day at the plate during Friday's tilt. In his place, Sean Rodriguez will start at second and bat atop the Pirates' order.
