Gimenez isn't starting Wednesday against Detroit.

Gimenez will get a day off after he went 1-for-11 with an RBI, a walk and three strikeouts over the last four games. Ernie Clement is starting at the keystone and batting seventh.

Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Marlins.

The 25-year-old switch hitter has heated up once again as he looks to prove he's a long-term solution for the Angels in the middle infield. Rengifo has hit safely in five straight games and 10 of the last 11, batting .359 (14-for-39) over that stretch with three of his five homers and one of his two steals on the year.

Castro is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians,

Castro picked up starts at third base and shortstop between the past two games, going 3-for-9 with a run scored. He remains without a clear path to an everyday role, but he should continue to crack the lineup at least a few times per week while he holds down a .712 OPS for the season and has the ability to play multiple positions.

Rojas went 1-for-1 with a run scored in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Giants.

Rojas came off the bench to pinch hit for third baseman Jake Hager with Arizona down 2-1. Leading off the inning against an infield shift and down 0-2 in the count to San Francisco righty Dominic Leone, the lefty batter laid a perfect bunt down the third base line, getting on base to ignite a five-run rally. Rojas will occasionally sit against left-handed starters but should not be a candidate for a platoon. He's slashed .269/.346/.378 against port-siders during his career and .260/.339/.340 in 2022.

Haggerty went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two total RBI, two total runs and a stolen base during Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Padres.

The 28-year-old rejoined the lineup Tuesday after sitting out the past two games, and he helped power Seattle's offense from the bottom of the order. Haggerty now has a .303/.343/.485 slash line for the season, though that's come in only 35 plate appearances.

Rojas is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Rojas has a .985 OPS over his past seven contests and will take a seat Tuesday against San Francisco southpaw Alex Wood. Jake Hager will start at the hot corner and bat ninth.

Kemp is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Kemp has just nine hits in 50 at-bats against lefties this season, so he will take a seat with left-hander Yusei Kikuchi starting for Toronto. Chad Pinder will take Kemp's place in left field.

Arauz is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers.

Arauz had started in three of the Orioles' last five games and went 1-for-9 with a pair of RBI, but he looks poised to lose out on his strong-side platoon role at third base now that Ramon Urias is back in action after a stint on the 10-day injured list. Instead, Arauz looks poised to fill a utility role moving forward and may only occasionally fill in for one of Urias, Jorge Mateo or Rougned Odor.

Guillorme is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.

The lefty-hitting Guillorme is on the bench for the second game in a row, this time taking a seat versus a southpaw (Nick Lodolo) after he was out of the lineup Monday against a right-hander (Hunter Greene). Guillorme is a strong defender who has worked his way into an everyday role on the basis of showing major improvement at the plate this season, though regression has begun to set in for the 27-year-old. He's gone 2-for-26 over his last eight contests and could end up serving as more of a part-time player while he's slumping.

The Rays transferred Lowe (lower back) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

Lowe hasn't played since May 15 due to a stress reaction in his lower back and only recently resumed taking batting practice a few days ago, so he wasn't guaranteed to make it back from the IL in fewer than 60 days anyway. The transaction now ensures that Lowe won't be activated until mid-July, and the Rays might prefer to hold out the 27-year-old through the All-Star break even if he's ready to go at the end of the 60-day period. Infielder Yu Chang, whom the Rays claimed off waivers from the Pirates on Tuesday, will take Lowe's spot on the 40-man roster.
