  • Reds' Jonathan India: Sidelined again Sunday

India (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Brandon Drury will pick up a third consecutive start at the keystone in place of India, who is day-to-day with the right hamstring injury that he suffered in Thursday's 9-3 loss to Los Angeles. At this stage, the Reds aren't ready to move India to the injured list, though that could change if the reigning National League Rookie of the Year still remains slowed by the hamstring issue heading into Monday's series opener in San Diego.

  • Owen Miller 2B | CHC

Guardians' Owen Miller: On base four times

Miller went 2-for-2 with a double, two walks and a run scored in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Giants.

Miller has forced his way into an everyday role in the lineup with his hot bat. He's seen time at first base and second base while hitting .560 (14-for-25) through eight contests. The infielder has also flexed some power in 2022, posting two home runs and seven doubles while chipping in seven RBI and nine runs scored.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Steals base in loss

Rosario went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Giants.

Rosario only got aboard on a fielder's choice in the sixth inning. He stole second and got to third, but he was left stranded. The shortstop has done well with the bat so far, slashing .278/.278/.333 with a triple, four RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in eight games as an everyday presence in the lineup.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Moves to bench

Stott is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Stott had started in each of the Phillies' previous five games, making four of those starts at second base while going 2-for-19 at the plate. Primary second baseman Jean Segura (hand) is back in action after a three-game absence, while shortstop Didi Gregorius and third baseman Johan Camargo form the left side of the Phillies' infield. Entering the season, Stott appeared to be battling Alec Bohm for the primary job at the hot corner, but both look to be behind Camargo in the pecking order at the moment.

  • Andres Gimenez SS | TOR

Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Out of Sunday's lineup

Gimenez is not in the lineup Sunday against San Francisco.

Gimenez is working in the strong side of a platoon at second base and will head to the bench Sunday with lefty Alex Wood pitching for the Giants. Owen Miller will man the keystone while Bobby Bradley starts at first base.

  • Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM

Rangers' Andy Ibanez: Steals base in loss

Ibanez went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Angels.

Ibanez swiped his first bag of the season, but he doesn't have a history of being a threat on the base paths. He's hit safely in six of seven starts (7-for-29, .241) with one extra-base hit and three RBI but has yet to earn a walk.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Hits in three straight

Semien went 1-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Angels.

Following a slow start out of the gate, Semien has strung together three straight games with a hit. He also stole a bag for the second straight contest. Semien has two extra-base hits (both doubles), two RBI and five runs scored over eight games.

  • Cavan Biggio RF | HOU

Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Gets third straight start

Biggio will start in right field and bat ninth Sunday against the Athletics.

Biggio will pick up his third straight start at a different position, as he previously drew assignments at first base Friday and at second base Saturday. Santiago Espinal appears to have surpassed Biggio as the preferred option at the keystone for the time being, but Teoscar Hernandez's (oblique) recent move to the injured list could create a path for Biggio to pick up more work in the outfield. The 27-year-old is still in search of his first hit of the season, though he's at least reached base four times thanks to a pair of walks and hit-by-pitches.

  • Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI

Athletics' Elvis Andrus: Gets first day off

Andrus is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

The veteran infielder will take a seat for the first time this season while Kevin Smith receives a turn at shortstop. Through his first nine starts with the Athletics, Andrus is slashing .250/.351/.469 with a home run, four doubles, seven runs, three RBI and a stolen base across 37 plate appearances.

  • Michael Chavis 2B | CIN

Pirates' Michael Chavis: Racks up three hits

Chavis went 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's win over the Nationals.

Chavis got the start against a lefty and once again made the most of the opportunity, recording his second three-hit game of the season and playing a key role in the win. His RBI single to score Ke'Bryan Hayes in the fifth inning proved to be the turning point of the contest. Chavis has been limited to just 14 plate appearances across five games so far, but he's hitting .500 with a double, a triple, a homer, five RBI and two runs scored, so it's safe to say he's making the most of every chance to step into the batter's box.
