Guillorme will start at second base and bat eighth in Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Though Mark Canha will get a look out of leadoff spot after the lefty-hitting Guillorme sat atop the lineup for each of the previous four contests, the latter player will still stick in the starting nine even with a southpaw (Patrick Corbin) taking the hill for Washington. Guillorme, who went 7-for-12 with a double, two walks, six runs and an RBI over that three-game stretch, could see more opportunities going forward after the Mets optioned Dominic Smith to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

Rengifo will start at second base and bat fifth in Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

He'll be included in the lineup for the 12th game in a row and may have supplanted Tyler Wade as the Angels' preferred option at the keystone even once Anthony Rendon (wrist) returns from the injured list and Wade no longer has a path to playing time at third base. While starting the previous 11 contests, Rengifo has slashed .295/.340/.409 with a home run and a stolen base.

Marte will sit Tuesday against Atlanta.

Marte owns a 12-game hitting streak, a stretch in which he's slashed .383/.408/.489. He'll get a rest Tuesday as Jake Hager takes over at second base.

Espinal is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

After a rough weekend in Los Angeles in which he went 2-for-18 during the Blue Jays' four-game series with the Angels, Espinal will take a seat as Toronto begins a six-game homestand. Cavan Biggio replaces Espinal at the keystone.

Gorman will sit Tuesday against the Padres, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Gorman has started against every righty while sitting against every lefty since making his MLB debut, a trend which continues here against southpaw Blake Snell. Tommy Edman slides to second base Tuesday, with Edmundo Sosa starting at shortstop.

Brujan went 1-for-2 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI in Monday's loss to the Rangers.

Brujan reached base on multiple occasions for the first time in 15 starts this season. He's maintained a miserable .137/.196/.176 line across 56 plate appearances, and his inability to reach base has limited his ability to showcase his speed on the basepaths. Despite his struggles, Brujan has been in the lineup for 12 of 15 contests since May 14 thanks to the absence of Brandon Lowe (back).

Castro is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Twins.

After starting each of the Tigers' past three games while going a collective 4-for-12 at the dish, Castro will take a seat as the Tigers roll out an all-righty-hitting lineup to counter Twins southpaw Devin Smeltzer. Castro doesn't have a clear path to an everyday role at any position at the moment, but his .836 OPS over 86 plate appearances has given him a compelling case to earn more work in a Tigers offense that has struggled mightily for much of the season.

Marte went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 6-2 win over Atlanta.

Marte's first-inning single extended a hit streak to 10 consecutive games, during which he's 14-for-41 with four doubles and eight runs scored. The double gives him 17 -- tied for fourth in MLB. He's still below career norms in the major percentage categories, but that just speaks to the depth he fell to during an April that saw him slash .146/.211/.256. The 28-year-old flipped the script in May with a line of .360/.424/.539 while putting together hitting streaks of nine and 10 games.

Urias went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and two runs scored in the first game of Monday's doubleheader.

Urias' three-run shot off of Daniel Norris in the seventh inning ended up being the go-ahead hit. The 5-foot-9 infielder has hit five long balls with 11 RBI through 24 games on the year. He's 9-for-39 (.231) with three home runs and six runs scored over his last nine games.

Gorman went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's victory over San Diego.

Gorman put the Cardinals on the board with his second career home run, a two-run shot off of Nick Martinez in the third inning. After a four-game hitless drought, the rookie infielder has seven hits, including three for extra bases, over his last three games. With a .387/.472/.677 slash line through 10 games, Gorman looks like a staple in St. Louis' lineup.
