Altuve (groin) is starting Thursday against the Tigers.

Altuve exited Wednesday's game against the Mariners due to right groin soreness, but he'll be back in the lineup a day later. The 31-year-old has gone 2-for-8 with a homer, three runs and three walks since returning from the injured list. He'll start at second base and lead off Thursday.

Miller isn't starting Thursday against Toronto.

Miller has crossed the plate in five consecutive games, and he's gone 3-for-17 with a double, seven runs, an RBI and five walks during that time. Josh Naylor will shift to first base while Richie Palacios enters the lineup in left field.

Mendick was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

The 28-year-old was sent down Monday, but he'll rejoin the major-league club to provide depth after Andrew Vaughn (hand) was placed on the 10-day injured list. Mendick is hitting .250 with a homer, two doubles, four runs and three RBI in the majors this year.

Hernandez isn't starting Thursday against the Angels since he's feeling sick, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

The Red Sox are hopeful that Hernandez's sickness is unrelated to COVID-19, but he'll be out of the lineup for at least one game as a precautionary measure. It's not yet clear whether he'll be an option off the bench, but Jackie Bradley will shift to center field while Franchy Cordero starts in right.

Hernandez will hit the bench Thursday against the Angels, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

Hernandez sits for just the second time this season. He's gotten off to a poor start at the plate, hitting just .189/.262/.567 with one homer in 24 games. Jackie Bradley slides to center field in his absence, with Franchy Cordero starting in right.

Rojas (oblique) has played two games as part of a rehab assignment for Triple-A Reno. He's 2-for-5 with four walks, a double, two RBI and a stolen base.

Rojas served as the designated hitter Tuesday then third base Wednesday, each time playing nine innings. The Diamondbacks plan to welcome him back at some point during a homestand that kicks off Friday against the Rockies.

Marte went 2-for-2 with two walks, a double and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Marlins.

Marte is still batting below .200, but he extended a hit streak to five games, during which he's 6-for-18 with five extra-base hits, three walks and six runs scored. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo has moved him around the order in effort to jumpstart the bat, and his recent run batting sixth against right-handers appears to have helped.

Hoerner went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

Hoerner is now riding a modest three-game hitting streak and he's up to two home runs this season. The shortstop isn't a huge power threat, as he failed to hit any long balls across 92 games at the MLB level over the last two years. However, the 24-year-old does make consistent contact at the plate, and he's now batting a solid .276 this season.

Guillorme went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against Atlanta.

Guillorme drew a start at second base and hit eighth with Mark Canha drawing a day off and Jeff McNeil shifting to the outfield as a result. Guillorme moved up a slot on the depth chart after Robinson Cano was designated for assignment, and he has now started three of the team's last five games. He took advantage of the opportunity Wednesday by taking Darren O'Day yard for his first homer of the season in the ninth inning. Guillorme is now hitting .243/.364/.405 across 45 plate appearances on the campaign.

India's hamstring injury is the same injury that landed him on the injured list earlier, and it will keep him out "a couple of weeks," but not four-to-six weeks, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "It's the same injury, but I've been assured that nothing he did while he was playing made it worse," manager Bell said. "He was trying to play through it, but it just wasn't good enough to continue to play. Based on the information we had, he ran the risk of reinjury if he kept playing."

Remember, this originally was a day-to-day injury that kept the Reds from putting India on the injured list for five days after he initially suffered it against the Dodgers. When all is said and done, India will have missed a cumulative four-to-five weeks, assuming there are no additional setbacks.
