Lux is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Orioles.

He was supposed to sit Tuesday but was a late add after Justin Turner (ankle) was scratched. After getting added to the starting nine he proceeded to go 3-for-4 with his first big-league home run, and is now hitting .250/.333/.458 in his first 24 at-bats. Enrique Hernandez starts at the keystone with lefty John Means on the hill for Baltimore.

Semien went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs overall in Tuesday's rout of the Astros.

Semien did all his damage in just six innings before being replaced with the Athletics up 20-3. He singled and scored in the first inning, hit a two-run homer in the fourth and added an RBI double in the fifth. The shortstop now owns a .400/.486/.800 slash line over his last eight games, scoring nine times and driving in seven runs.

Urias went 3-for-5 with an RBI and scored twice in a victory over the Cubs on Tuesday.

Urias got the Padres on the board with an RBI single in the second inning and crossed the plate with the winning run in the 10th. The three-hit game was the first of Urias' major-league career and pushed his average over the Mendoza Line for the first time since Aug. 24. The rookie is hitting only .208 this season but has had a strong start to September, batting .421 (8-for-19) through seven games.

Torres went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to Detroit on Tuesday.

Torres launched a long ball to left field in the fourth inning for his team-leading 36th homer of the season. The blast was his 16th in 34 games since the start of August, a span in which he is batting .285 with 29 RBI and 25 runs scored. The 22-year-old continues to evolve as a hitter, besting last year's strong offensive output in nearly every meaningful category while reducing his strikeout rate from 25.2 percent to 20.1 percent.

Dubon led off and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Pirates.

Usual leadoff hitter Mike Yastrzemski was rested in this one, and Dubon was his surprise replacement. The 24-year-old hasn't shown much in terms of plate discipline in his young career (one walk in 40 plate appearances and just a 5.2 walk percentage in the minors this year), but the Giants are devoid of many options who get on base at decent clip. What the rookie infielder does offer is pure speed, and he flashed that when he came around to score from first for the club's first run and legged out a double later in the contest. Yastrzemski should resume leadoff duties Wednesday, but Dubon could be a candidate to hit higher in the lineup for whoever manages San Francisco in 2020.

Lux went 3-for-4 with a double and solo home run Tuesday against the Orioles.

Lux had a strong day at the plate after having gone hitless in each of his last four appearances. The big shot came in the fifth inning, when he launched a home run to center field for his first career long ball. Currently slotted atop the depth chart at second base, Lux should continue to get regular at-bats as he adjusts to his first taste of big-league pitching. Through just seven games, he's managed a .250/.333/.458 line while working three free passes against five strikeouts.

Castro went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 12-11 win over the Yankees.

All three hits for Castro were singles, which isn't too surprising considering he had four singles in a game Saturday. The 25-year-old has just 16 extra-base hits in 300 at-bats this season, though it's hard to complain too much given his .293 batting average.

Forsythe was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Rays with left intercostal tightness, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Forsythe was scheduled to start and first base and bat seventh before the intercostal issue cropped up. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will take his place in the lineup.

Dubon went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Pirates.

Dubon nabbed his first major-league steal this past weekend against the Dodgers, and he added his second just two days later. The 24-year-old only had 11 steals over 124 games in Triple-A this season, but he did have two consecutive 30-plus steal seasons prior to 2019, so the middle infielder can certainly provide help in that category in an era where stolen-base numbers are on the decline.

Lux was originally supposed to sit with lefty Ty Blach on the mound for Baltimore. Justin Turner (ankle) getting scratched triggered a series of changes, however. Chris Taylor moves in from right field to third base, with Enrique Hernandez moving from second base to right field. Lux will enter the lineup as the second baseman, batting ninth.
