  • Pedro Ramirez 2B | CHC

Cubs' Pedro Ramirez: Big effort in Wednesday's nightcap

Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, two stolen bases and four runs scored in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Ramirez followed up an 0-for-3 performance in the first game Wednesday with the best effort of his rookie campaign. The 22-year-old recorded the first two stolen bases of his MLB career and also set career bests for hits, RBI and runs scored. Ramirez isn't quite an everyday player yet for the Cubs, but the youngster entered the year with some legitimate prospect buzz and is showing signs of promise in the majors.

  • Edwin Arroyo 2B | CIN

Reds' Edwin Arroyo: Likely to lose playing time

Arroyo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Arroyo will take a seat for the second time in the series and appears set to move into a part-time role after Cincinnati welcomed Elly De La Cruz back from the injured list Tuesday. With De La Cruz sliding back into an everyday role at shortstop, Matt McLain is likely to be prioritized at second base ahead of Arroyo, who is hitting .226 with no home runs or steals in 19 games since being promoted from Triple-A Louisville on June 1.

  • Luis Arraez 2B | PHI

Giants' Luis Arraez: Out of lineup Wednesday

Arraez (foot) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's matchup against the Athletics, Evan Webeck of the California Post reports.

After fouling a ball off the arch of his right foot in the first inning of Tuesday's series opener against the Athletics, Arraez will sit out of Wednesday's ballgame. The 29-year-old has his foot wrapped in the clubhouse and is feeling good despite riding the pine for the second contest of the three-game set.

  • Ronny Mauricio SS | NYM

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Back from IL, optioned to Syracuse

The Mets reinstated Mauricio (thumb) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

Mauricio had been on the shelf since May 3 with a fractured left thumb. After beginning a rehab assignment last week and going 5-for-14 with one walk, two stolen bases, three RBI and three runs in four games between Single-A St. Lucie and Syracuse, Mauricio has been deemed healthy but will wind up sticking around with the Mets' Triple-A affiliate.

  • Ernie Clement 2B | TOR

Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Sitting again with hip issue

Clement (hip) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Clement will be relegated to the bench for a second straight game while he tends to a sore left hip, which previously kept him out of the lineup for two games over the weekend. Luis Urias will pick up another start at the keystone Wednesday while Clement receives further maintenance for his hip.

  • Luke Keaschall 2B | MIN

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Exiting starting lineup

Keaschall is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Dodgers.

Keaschall had started the last 11 games and is hitless over his last three games, so he will receive a day of rest. Tristan Gray will fill in at second base and bat eighth for the Twins in the series finale.

  • Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Remaining on bench Wednesday

Holliday (groin) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The Orioles will keep Holliday on the bench for a fourth consecutive contest while he tends to a sore groin. Per MLB.com, Holliday was able to go through pregame work Monday and Tuesday, so the Orioles are seemingly viewing him as day-to-day with the hope that he'll be ready to return to the lineup during this weekend's series against the Nationals following Thursday's team off day.

  • Edouard Julien 2B | COL

Rockies' Edouard Julien: Idle for series finale

Julien is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Julien will join fellow left-handed hitters Mickey Moniak, Troy Johnston and Brett Sullivan on the bench while the Red Sox send southpaw Ranger Suarez to the bump for the series finale. Though he had started in all but one of the Rockies' matchups with right-handed pitchers dating back to May 26, Julien's opportunities could be harder to come by now that Moniak is back in the fold following a month-long stint on the injured list.

  • Red Sox's Marcelo Mayer: On bench for second straight game

Mayer (foot) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Mayer will miss out on a second straight start due to a sore left foot, which stems from him fouling a ball off himself during Monday's series opener. The Red Sox are viewing Mayer as day-to-day, and the infielder could be available off the bench Wednesday if he's noticed some improvement since resting for Tuesday's 5-2 win. Boston will go with Andruw Monasterio at shortstop in the series finale in Colorado.

  • Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Swats homer Tuesday

Chisholm went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run in a 4-3 win over Detroit on Tuesday.

Chisholm produced half of New York's runs in the victory with a two-run blast to right-center field in the sixth inning. The long ball was his 12th of the season, and the veteran infielder has been flashing more power of late with three homers over his past seven games. Chisholm is batting just .203 with a 30.3 percent strikeout rate through 19 contests in June, but he's nonetheless put up good fantasy production thanks to six home runs, 13 RBI, 16 runs and nine stolen bases.
