  • Alan Trejo SS | COL

Rockies' Alan Trejo: Not in lineup Friday

Trejo is out of the lineup Friday against the Mets.

Harold Castro will start at second base and bat eighth with right-hander Kodai Senga on the mound for New York. This has formed into a bit of a platoon in recent weeks, though Trejo should still get starts against some righties. Trejo and Castro are both currently under .600 in the OPS department.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Orioles' Adam Frazier: Gets Friday off

Frazier isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

After going 2-for-3 and scoring four times Thursday against the Royals, Frazier earned himself a day off for Friday's series opener. Ramon Urias will take over at second base and bat sixth in Frazier's absence.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Not in lineup Friday

Stott is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Red Sox.

This looks to be a routine day of rest for Stott, who drove in two runs in Wednesday's series finale at Dodger Stadium. Josh Harrison will cover second base and bat eighth Friday versus Boston. Kyle Schwarber is hitting leadoff.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Orioles' Adam Frazier: Scores four times Thursday

Frazier went 2-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and four runs scored in Thursday's 13-10 win over the Royals.

Frazier has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 7-for-19 (.368). Thursday was his first multi-hit effort in that span. The second baseman is up to a .241/.333/.379 slash line with three home runs, 10 RBI, five steals, 20 runs scored and three doubles through 99 plate appearances.

  • Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Enjoys big day at plate

Rengifo went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two total runs and four total RBI in Thursday's 11-7 win against the Cardinals.

Rengifo was the biggest producer on a day when the Angels pounded out a season-high 16 hits. The utility man gave Los Angeles its first lead with a three-run homer in the second inning and added another RBI with a sacrifice fly in the fourth. This was Rengifo's first three-hit game of the campaign and his first multi-hit performance since April 10.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Third straight multi-hit game

Albies went 3-for-5 with a double in Thursday's 6-3 win over Miami.

Albies will be sad to leave Miami after torching the Marlins' pitching over the last three games. He went 9-for-14 with two home runs and four doubles in that span. The second baseman is up to a .288/.328/.576 slash line with nine homers, 26 RBI, 15 runs scored, six doubles and a triple through 32 contests this season.

  • Nolan Gorman 2B | STL

Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Pulled with lower back tightness

Gorman was removed from Thursday's loss to the Angels due to lower-back tightness, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

The injury helps explain why manager Oliver Marmol oddly turned to Taylor Motter in Gorman's place as the Cardinals were trying to spark a comeback in the bottom of the sixth inning. Gorman, who finished 0-for-3 with a run scored, is considered day-to-day heading into Friday's series opener against the Tigers.

  • Blue Jays' Whit Merrifield: Not in Thursday's lineup

Merrifield is not in the Blue Jays' lineup for Thursday's game in Boston.

The Jays are going with Cavan Biggio at second base against Red Sox righty Brayan Bello. Merrifield began the season with a 22-game on-base streak but has since failed to reach base the last two contests.

  • Jose Caballero 2B | NYY

Mariners' Jose Caballero: Three-hit night in win

Caballero went 3-for-5 with an RBI single and a run in an extra-inning win over the Athletics on Wednesday.

The multi-hit effort was the first of Caballero's young career and gave his average and OPS boosts of 76 and 120 points to .250 and .611, respectively. The rookie has logged just 31 plate appearances to date, but he's already flashed with a pair of doubles and stolen bases apiece in addition to Wednesday's encouraging performance.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Swipes bag Wednesday

Rosario went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Yankees.

Rosario may be showing some flashes of getting into form -- he's hit safely in four straight games, though he's gone just 4-for-17 with five strikeouts and a walk in that span. The shortstop is still seeing close to everyday playing time, but his .227/.263/.318 slash line through 26 contests is by far the worst of his career. He's added six steals, one home run, six RBI and 15 runs scored while regularly hitting second despite the cold bat.
