  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Royals' Mike Moustakas: Homers for third time in four games

Moustakas went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-2 win over Cleveland

Moustakas slugged the first pitch he saw from Indians reliever Shawn Armstrong to center field for his 13th home run of the season. That makes three long balls in the last four games and 12 RBI in the past two weeks for the Royals third baseman.

  • Orioles' Manny Machado: Rips two doubles Friday

Machado went 2-for-4 with two doubles in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Astros.

He hit the ball hard all night but missed his opportunity to play hero in the eighth inning, flying out to right field on a deep drive to the warning track with the bases loaded and two outs. Four of Machado's last six hits have gone for extra bases (three doubles, one homer), offering fantasy GMs some hope that his tepid .225/.312/.444 slash line is about to improve dramatically.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Homers in losing effort

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-4 loss to Kansas City.

The third baseman has been slumping a bit of late, going 1-for-his-last-16 at the plate. His slash line still sits at .265/.333/.464 on the season, and he continues to take a patient approach at the plate. He also shows the occasional pop, as evidenced by his seventh homer of the year. It could be just what he needed to get things going back in the right direction.

  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Royals' Mike Moustakas: Goes deep in win Friday

Moustakas went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-4 win over Cleveland.

His homer to right center in the fifth inning tied the game for the Royals. Moustakas is now slashing .249/.282/.503 on the season, and has been the victim of some considerable bad luck with a .240 BABIP. His power stroke is working on the campaign, as he now has 12 home runs to go along with 25 RBI.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: To sit Saturday

Donaldson will not be in Saturday's lineup against Texas, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports Friday.

Donaldson missed 39 games with a calf injury before making his return Friday night, in which he went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts. The Blue Jays have expressed a desire to take care with their star third baseman, so expect semi-regular rest days for him in his first week or two back on the roster.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Rays' Evan Longoria: Scores twice Thursday

Longoria went 1-for-3 with two runs and a walk in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Angels.

The veteran slugger has rediscovered his stroke in May, with Thursday's effort putting his monthly slash line at .292/.343/.438. Longoria has nine multi-hit efforts this month and has already matched the nine extra-base hits he posted in April. He's also been much more consistent with his contact, slicing his strikeout tally in half (28 to 14) in just 16 fewer plate appearances.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Raps out pair of hits Thursday

Segura went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Nationals.

The shortstop endured a 1-for-12 mini-slump over three games after his 17-game hitting streak was snapped, but he's now hit safely in three of the subsequent four contests. Segura is currently boasting personal bests in batting average (.335) and OBP (.380) and also sports the second-highest slugging percentage (.465) and OPS (.845) of his career.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Activated from DL

Donaldson (calf) was activated from the disabled list Friday and is starting at third base Friday against the Rangers, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.

It will be Donaldson's first game action since April 13 and marks the end of a long recovery from a calf strain. With the Blue Jays beginning a 10-game homestand Friday, the All-Star slugger will have plenty of time to get back into the swing of things in a good hitter's setting while returning to an everyday role. Fellow infielder Troy Tulowitzki will also make his return from the disabled list Friday, indicating a new-look Toronto lineup for upcoming games.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Reinstated from DL

Moncada (thumb) was activated from the 7-day disabled list Friday.

The top prospect in the White Sox organization had been out since May 15 with a thumb injury, though he appears to be healthy and ready to return to game action following a minor absence. Moncada will resume his starting spot with Triple-A Charlotte, where he has gotten off to a hot start with a .331/.401/.504 slash line and 15 RBI through 34 games.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Returning from DL for Friday's game

Donaldson (calf) is scheduled to be activated from the DL and return to the Blue Jays lineup Friday against Texas, the Toronto Sun reports.

The third baseman has been out since April 14, but he returns as the Jays begin a 10-game homestand. Owners shouldn't think twice about plugging Donaldson back into their fantasy lineups immediately.
