  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jean Segura: Headed to Cleveland

The Marlins traded Segura and Kahlil Watson on Tuesday in exchange for Josh Bell, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The Marlins haven't quite received the production they were expecting from Segura when they signed him to a two-year deal in the offseason. He's slashing just .219/.277/.279 with 21 RBI through 326 plate appearances and will likely slot into a bench role.

  • Joe Perez 3B | PIT

Astros' Joe Perez: Moved off 40-man roster

The Astros designated Perez for assignment Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

With Justin Verlander returning to Houston through a trade with the Mets on Tuesday, Perez will come off the 40-man roster to create room for the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner. Perez is slashing .255/.328/.399 with 47 RBI through 357 plate appearances in Triple-A this season.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Aiming to return this season

Donaldson (calf) took batting practice and fielded grounders Monday and is hoping to return to action this season, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Donaldson was moved to the 60-day injured list July 20 after being diagnosed with a high-grade right calf strain. Less than two weeks later, the veteran third baseman was described by Hoch as looking "fluid" while doing on-field work, so it appears Donaldson is recovering more quickly than expected. However, even if he continues to progress, Donaldson isn't eligible to be activated from the IL until mid-September.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Fills stat sheet in win

Henderson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Henderson's slipped from first to second in the order, swapping places with Adley Rutschman, over the last few days. It hasn't slowed Henderson down -- he's 4-for-12 with three extra-base hits since the lineup change. Henderson went 24-for-98 (.245) in July, a touch better than his .242/.334/.471 slash line for the season. He's added 17 homers, 45 RBI, 57 runs scored and six steals through 95 contests overall.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Three hits in Monday's loss

Devers went 3-for-4 in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Mariners.

Boston had nine hits in the game, though Devers was the only Red Sox hitter with multiple hits. The third baseman had struggled to hit for much of an average in the first half of the campaign, but he batted .354 (29-for-82) in July to lift his season slash line to .266/.333/.519. He's added 25 home runs, 76 RBI, 57 runs scored and two stolen bases over 100 contests as one of Boston's most reliable players.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Homers again in win

Paredes went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run in Monday's 5-1 win over the Yankees.

Paredes now has eight home runs through 20 games this month, including three in his last three contests. He's up to 21 long balls on the year, a new career high. Overall, the 24-year-old Paredes is slashing .258/.363/.516 with 63 RBI and 48 runs scored across 358 plate appearances this season.

  • Angels' Eduardo Escobar: Moves to bench Monday

Escobar is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Atlanta, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Escobar had picked up three starts in the Angels' last four games, but he appears poised for a downturn in playing time moving forward after Anaheim bolstered its infield Sunday with the acquisition of C.J. Cron. With Cron and Mike Moustakas expected to serve as the team's regular starters in the corner infield versus right-handed pitching, Escobar may be relegated to the short side of a platoon at third base with Moustakas.

  • Trey Cabbage 1B | PIT

Angels' Trey Cabbage: Sent back to minors

The Angels optioned Cabbage to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.

Cabbage lost hold of his near-everyday role as well as his spot on the Angels' 26-man active roster after the club acquired first baseman C.J. Cron and outfielder Randal Grichuk in a trade with the Rockies on Sunday. Though the 26-year-old was versatile during his time in Anaheim with starts at first base and in right and center field, he hit just .206 with no walks and a 48.6 percent strikeout rate in 35 plate appearances. He'll get a chance to continue playing on a regular basis back in Salt Lake.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Hits bench Monday

Urias is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

Urias will cede his spot in the lineup to Jorge Mateo, who draws the starting nod at shortstop while Gunnar Henderson shifts over to third base. Though he doesn't bring an exciting fantasy skill set to the table, Urias' contact skills and ability to play all over the infield has been enough for him to earn a fairly stable role. He started in seven of the Orioles' previous eight games.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Keeps up RBI push in win

Suarez went 2-for-5 with an RBI single in a win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

The veteran slugger extended his RBI streak to five games with his ninth-inning single that plated J.P. Crawford. Suarez went hitless over his first three games following the All-Star break, but he's bounced back to compile five extra-base hits (two doubles, three home runs) and 12 RBI over his subsequent 13 contests.
