Suarez went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

Suarez recorded a two-run homer off righty starter Michael Kopech with two outs in the third and led off the seventh with another home run off lefty reliever Aaron Bummer. The third baseman has recorded at least one hit in eight of his last 11 games. The 31-year-old has been on fire in his last 19 games, recording eight home runs and a 1.067 OPS in 78 plate appearances.

Walls went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox.

Walls drove in the only run of the game on a fifth-inning single off righty starter Nick Pivetta, and the shortstop followed up with a double in the seventh. Walls has had even more trouble than usual generating power in his last 14 games with just one extra-base hit in 45 at-bats. The 26-year-old is serviceable at home, slashing .250/.323/.430 in 193 plate appearances, compared to .108/.216/.145 in 214 plate appearances away from Tampa Bay.

Kreidler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

A batter after fellow rookie Kerry Carpenter tied the game with a home run, Kreidler put the Tigers ahead with his first MLB long ball. The 24-year-old was called up from Triple-A Toledo earlier this month, and he's gone 4-for-20 across six games. Kreidler is one of Detroit's top prospects, and with Jonathan Schoop (ankle) out, the former should continue to see regular infield playing time in the final weeks of the season.

LeMahieu (toe) is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Twins, and manager Aaron Boone said a trip to the injured list is being considered, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The 34-year-old hasn't seen the field since Sunday due to the toe injury, and it appears he could be sidelined at least another week. Even if LeMahieu avoids the IL, the fact the move is being contemplated could mean the veteran infielder won't rejoin the lineup for a couple more days.

Jung will be called up from Triple-A Round Rock to make his major-league debut Friday against the Blue Jays, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.

Jung appeared likely to begin the 2022 season as the Rangers' primary third baseman, but he suffered a torn left labrum during spring training and wasn't cleared to rejoin the Triple-A club until early August. He's performed well since returning to action at Round Rock, slashing .274/.317/.526 with six home runs, 24 RBI, 14 runs and a stolen base over 22 games. The 24-year-old saw time at both corner-infield spots during a rehab assignment with the Rangers' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate. The team's top prospect should have plenty of chances to earn playing time for the big-league club over the final month of the regular season, while Brad Miller will likely be placed on the 10-day injured list with a hip injury Friday.

Rendon (wrist) has been participating in defensive drills and hitting in the batting cage, opening the door to a possible return by the end of the season, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Rendon was thought to be done for the campaign when he underwent right wrist surgery June 21, but he's advanced far enough in his recovery to begin throwing and swinging a bat. Angels head athletic trainer Mike Frostad indicated that Rendon will be joining the team on its upcoming road trip and that there are plans in place to have the veteran third baseman increase his hitting, lending further credence to the feasibility of a return. While Los Angeles is far out of the playoff picture, there is motivation to bring Rendon back this season, as doing so could allow him to serve all of the five-game suspension he received for taking part in a brawl against the Mariners less than a week after his surgery. The team would need to prove to the league that Rendon is actually capable of playing in order to activate him, which could mean that he'd need to get into at least one game following the suspension.

Freeman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

After going 5-for-17 with two runs and an RBI while starting in each of the past four games, Freeman will take a seat for the series finale. Though Owen Miller will check into the lineup in the rookie's stead Wednesday, Freeman still appears to have the edge on the final spot in Cleveland's regular starting nine.

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Royals.

Ramirez has hit a bit of a lull of late, having produced no home runs or stolen bases in his last nine games while batting .206 over that stretch. He was at least able to come through with a clutch hit in Tuesday's win, as he broke a 0-0 stalemate in the third inning with a two-out, two-run single to boost his MLB-leading RBI total to 108. Ramirez will start at third base and bat third in Wednesday's series finale, per Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Paredes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Paredes will take a seat after going 0-for-10 with a walk and six strikeouts while starting each of the past three contests. Though his ability to play three infield spots creates multiple pathways to playing time, the righty-hitting Paredes may settle into more of a short-side platoon role moving forward after the Rays reinstated the lefty-hitting Brandon Lowe (triceps/elbow) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.

Devers isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Rays, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Devers is getting a rare day off after he went 1-for-10 with an RBI, two walks and a strikeout over the last three games. Christian Arroyo will take over at the hot corner and bat sixth.
