  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Starting Thursday

Moncada (foot) is starting Thursday's game against the Tigers, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Moncada sustained a right foot contusion during Wednesday's series finale against the Twins, but he'll start at third base and bat sixth a day later. Over his last three games, he's gone 3-for-11 with a double, two RBI and three strikeouts.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Cleared to play Thursday

Devers (hamstring/back) will start at third base and bat second in Thursday's game against the Yankees, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

A sore right hamstring in addition to a bout with back tightness prompted the Red Sox to hold Devers out for the final two games of their series with the Rays, but the 25-year-old is ready to go for the start of a four-game set with Boston's biggest rival. Before his absence, Devers was running hot at the plate with a .318/.388/.455 slash line over his previous 10 starts.

  • Jonah Bride 3B | TEX

Athletics' Jonah Bride: Progresses to taking swings

Bride (shoulder) has progressed to swinging a bat, the Associated Press reports.

The rookie had already engaged in pregame sprints before Monday's game, so it's been a solid week on the recovery front. However, Bride is still likely a few days away, at minimum, from a return.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Heads to bench Thursday

Urias is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Since returning Monday from a stint on the injured list due to an oblique strain, Urias went 3-for-8 with two walks, two RBI and two runs in the Orioles' first three games of the week. He looks on track to serve as the Orioles' primary third baseman moving forward, but he'll take a seat in favor of Jonathan Arauz in the series opener with the Angels.

  • Royals' Emmanuel Rivera: Smacks sixth homer

Rivera went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Astros.

Rivera, who has supplied a home run in both of his past two starts, will crack the lineup again in Thursday's series finale in Houston, manning third base and batting fifth. The 26-year-old should continue to play regularly against left-handed pitching, but he'll likely lose out on a regular role against right-handers so long as Bobby Witt's hand injury doesn't force him to the 10-day injured list.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Productive day at the plate

Donaldson went 2-for-5 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 16-0 victory over the Pirates.

Donaldson was all over the scoresheet in Wednesday's blowout win. He launched a solo homer in the sixth inning, then sent Aaron Hicks home on a sac fly in the eighth. The third baseman came around to score again in the ninth on a Kyle Higashioka single. Donaldson has four hits over his last four games, but he has also struck out five times during that span, something that has plagued him as he has more strikeouts than hits on the year. He has a .226 average on the season to go along with seven homers and 25 RBI.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Productive day at the plate

LeMahieu went 3-for-6 with two RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Wednesday's win over the Pirates.

LeMahieu's two RBI came on a single in the first inning when he sent Joey Gallo and Isiah Kiner-Falefa home. LeMahieu came around to score in the eighth on an Aaron Judge homer, then again in the ninth thanks to an Aaron Hicks homer. He also added a steal, his fourth of the year. LeMahieu has two steals already this month after picking up just one in June. The infielder is batting .333 in July after Wednesday's three-hit outing. He has four hits in his last two games and is now slashing .267/.368/.406 on the season.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Twins' Gio Urshela: Drills eighth homer

Urshela went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and two runs scored Wednesday against the White Sox.

Urshela took Matt Foster yard in the eighth inning to record his eighth homer of the season. He has four multi-hit games in his last nine starts, maintaining a .353 average with two home runs, five RBI and five runs scored in that span. Overall, Urshela has a .266/.314/.414 line across 287 plate appearances on the season.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Two hits including homer

Chapman went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's victory over the Athletics.

Chapman walked in the fifth inning before he later took James Kaprielian deep for a solo shot in the seventh frame. He also added a single in his final at-bat in the ninth. The homer was his 13th of the season and he has now gone deep in back-to-back games. Chapman came into Tuesday's contest in the midst of an 0-for-16 stretch from the plate, but he went 5-for-7 with two homers and three RBI in the final two games of the series to snap out of the cold spell.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Diagnosed with right foot contusion

Moncada exited Wednesday's game against the Twins due to a right foot contusion, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Moncada appeared to be walking gingerly after fouling a ball off his right foot in the fourth inning Wednesday and was ultimately replaced defensively in the top of the seventh. However, he underwent X-rays that came back negative, so he's considered day-to-day. If the 27-year-old misses additional time, Josh Harrison and Leury Garcia should see increased looks at the hot corner.
