Yankees' Gio Urshela: Exits with apparent ankle injury
Urshela was removed from Sunday's game at Texas with an apparent left ankle injury, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but the Yankees had every reason to pull Urshela at the first sign of danger in the final game of the regular season. The 27-year-old should be considered day-to-day until more is known on the injury, and he'll have a few days to rest up before potentially missing any action heading into Game 1 of the ALDS versus the Twins on Friday.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Rays' Matt Duffy: Slugs long-awaited first homer
Duffy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Duffy finally went deep in the penultimate game of his truncated season, accounting for the only run of the day for the Rays in the process. The veteran is enjoying a strong month heading into Wednesday's American League Wild Card Game, with Saturday's multi-hit effort pushing his average in September to .333.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Out of lineup for season finale
Candelario is not starting in Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Candelario takes a seat with Ronny Rodriguez starting at third base and John Hicks manning first. Candelario has gotten regular playing time at first with Dawel Lugo taking over the primary role at third, though neither young player has broken out in 2019. The Tigers will be looking for the 25-year-old Candelario to take a big step forward in 2020 to warrant staying in a prominent role.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Athletics' Matt Chapman: Receives breather in finale
Chapman is not in the lineup for Sunday's game at Seattle, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The Athletics clinched home-field advantage for Wednesday's AL Wild Card Game on Saturday, so it's no surprise to see him receive the day off in the finale. Sheldon Neuse will cover third base in his place Sunday.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Remains out Sunday
Ramirez (hand) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game at Washington, Byron Kerr of MASN Sports reports.
Ramirez missed the first two games of the series since he's still experiencing soreness in his right hand after missing most of September, and it's no surprise the Indians will keep him on the bench for the finale with their playoff hopes dashed. The 27-year-old should finish 2019 with a .255/.327/.479 slash line, 23 home runs, 83 RBI and 24 stolen bases in 129 games. Yu Chang receives another start at third base Sunday.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Hits pinch-hit homer
Moncada hit a pinch-hit home run in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Tigers. He went 2-for-4 in the afternoon contest.
Moncada launched his 25th home run and has hit safely in 20 of his last 22 games (40-for-92, .435). He's finishing up the season with an 1.111 OPS during September, which alongside fellow young building blocks Tim Anderson (.985) and Eloy Jimenez (1.107) makes the White Sox an interesting team to watch in 2020.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Sitting for nightcap
Moncada will sit for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Detroit.
Moncada hits the bench after going 2-for-4 with a run and a pair of singles in the first game of the day. Danny Mendick gets the start at third base.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Not starting Saturday
Ramirez (hand) remains on the bench Saturday against the Nationals.
Ramirez returned quickly from a broken hamate bone, but it wasn't enough to drag Cleveland into the playoffs, as the team was eliminated from contention following Friday's loss. With nothing left to play for, Ramirez may have played in his final game of the season already. Yu Chang starts at third base Saturday.

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Cracks 21st homer
Urshela (hand) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and another run scored in Friday's win over the Rangers.
Urshela extended the Yankees' lead with a home run in the sixth inning in his first game back after he was hit in the hand by a pitch during Tuesday's game. Across 437 at-bats this season, Urshela is slashing .316/.357/.538 with 21 home runs.
