DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Hits leadoff homer in win
LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Dodgers.
LeMahieu drove a curveball over the center field wall leading off the game, his first home run in 62 career at-bats against Clayton Kershaw. He also singled and scored in the eighth inning, raising his season average to .331. After seven years in the rarefied air of Colorado, the 31-year-old is enjoying perhaps his finest campaign in his first season with the Yankees, having already set career highs in homers (22) and RBI (87).

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Athletics' Matt Chapman: On multi-week heater
Chapman, who went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in a loss to the Giants on Saturday, is hitting .321 (17-for-53) with five doubles, five home runs, eight RBI, two walks and 11 runs across the last 13 games overall.
Chapman has coaxed his average back up eight points to .260 with his current hot streak, one during which he's already exceeded his extra-base hit tally for all of July. The Gold Glove third baseman already boasts career highs in home runs (29) and RBI (72), while his current .526 slugging percentage also qualifies as a personal best.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Orioles' Jace Peterson: Sitting again versus lefty
Peterson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
The switch-hitting Stevie Wilkerson will pick up a start in the outfield while the lefty-hitting Peterson heads to the bench with southpaw Jalen Beeks slated to work as Tampa Bay's primary pitcher in the series finale. Expect Peterson and WIlkerson to continue to work in a loose platoon in the outfield for the foreseeable future, unless the Orioles promote Austin Hays and/or Ryan Mountcastle from Triple-A Norfolk in September.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Rays' Matt Duffy: Moves to bench Sunday
Duffy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
After drawing five consecutive starts at the hot corner, Duffy will cede the position to Joey Wendle in the series finale. With Duffy batting .080 over his last eight games and Wendle offering a left-handed alternative at third base now that he's healthy again, it's possible that Duffy transitions into more of a part-time role heading into the final month of the season.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Surgery on tap
Ramirez, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, will undergo surgery Monday in New York to repair his fractured right hand, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
The Indians won't have an update on a projected timeline for Ramirez's return until after the procedure is completed, but the 26-year-old looks at major risk of missing the remainder of the regular season. Cleveland called up Yu Chang from Triple-A Columbus to shore up the club's depth in the infield, but utility man Mike Freeman is the leading candidate to see most of the action at third base while Ramirez is sidelined. The team could also scour the waiver market for potential solutions at the hot corner.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Shelved with fractured hand
The Indians placed Ramirez on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a fractured hamate bone in his right hand.
Ramirez exited Saturday's game 4-2 win over the Royals with what was described as a right wrist injury, but an MRI revealed that the star third baseman sustained structural damage to his hand. The Indians have yet to indicate if surgery will be necessary, making Ramirez's timeline to return unclear. Even if he's able to avoid surgery, Ramirez would still likely be looking at a multi-week recovery, which could make him a viable drop candidate with just over a month left in the regular season. Cleveland called up Yu Chang from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to restore some depth in the infield, but utility man Mike Freeman may get the first crack at replacing Ramirez in the Tribe's everyday lineup.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Blasts 32nd home run
Bregman went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Angels.
Bregman came through with the three-run shot during the third inning, which proved to be the difference in the contest. The 25-year-old is crushing the ball in August with a .405/.500/.824 slash line, six home runs and 26 RBI in 20 games.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Receives MRI on wrist
Ramirez underwent an MRI on his right wrist after leaving Saturday's game against the Royals, Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com reports.
The Indians will wait until at least Sunday to make a determination on the MRI results, but a trip to the injured list appears to be a possibility. Ramirez exited the contest with right wrist discomfort after taking a swing during the first inning.

Ramirez exited Saturday's game against the Royals with an apparent right wrist injury, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Ramirez appeared to suffer the injury on a swing during the first inning and was unable to finish the at-bat. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but the Indians could play things safe and keep him out of the lineup Sunday since there's a scheduled off day to follow Monday.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Goes yard again
Moncada went 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run homer in Friday's 8-3 win over the Rangers.
Missing nearly a month with a hamstring strain hasn't cooled down Moncada's bat at all -- he's bashed four extra-base hits in two games since his return, going deep twice. On the year, the 24-year-old has had his long-awaited breakout, slashing .305/.361/.555 with 22 homers and 63 RBI.
