Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Blasts 37th homer
Ramirez went 1-for-2 with a walk and a two-run home run in Friday's 2-1 win over the Orioles.
His first-inning blast off David Hess, Ramirez's 37th homer of the year, gave Carlos Carrasco and the Cleveland bullpen all the offense they would need. The switch hitter has already established new career highs in home runs, RBI (91), steals (27) and walks (80) on the season, and his .303/.414/.640 slash line puts him on pace for personal bests in OBP and SLG as well.

Drew Robinson 3B | TEX
Rangers' Drew Robinson: Returns to Rangers
Robinson was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.
Robinson was expected to return to the Rangers in September when rosters expand, but rejoins the team a few weeks early with Delino DeShields dealing with a finger fracture. Robinson could see some starts in center field along with Carlos Tocci.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Placed on paternity list
The Mariners placed Segura on the paternity list Friday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
Segura could return at some point during this weekend's series against the Dodgers but can remain on the paternity list for as long as three days. Andrew Romine or perhaps Dee Gordon may fill at in shortstop in the meantime, while the Mariners also called up Gordon Beckham from Triple-A Tacoma.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Heads to disabled list
Devers was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday with a left hamstring strain, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
Devers lands on the DL for the third time this season, although it's unclear how exactly he sustained the injury. Ian Kinsler (hamstring) was reinstated from the DL in a corresponding move, while Devers will be eligible to return to the Red Sox on Aug. 26 against the Rays, since the move is retroactive to Thursday.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Runs bases Wednesday
Donaldson (calf) ran the bases Wednesday and said in a post to his personal Instagram account that he's "getting closer," Aaron Rose of MLB.com reports.
Donaldson provided a video clip of him rounding first base at a good speed before holding up and returning to the bag. He'll continue to ramp up his baserunning intensity before eventually being cleared to head out on a rehab assignment, which could happen within the week depending on how his calf responds. Despite his extended absence, Donaldson isn't expected to require a lengthy rehab assignment once he's cleared to return to game action.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Another four-hit effort in win
Segura went 4-for-5 in an extra-innings win over the Athletics on Wednesday.
The A's will be glad to be rid of the hot-hitting shortstop, who posted a pair of 4-for-5 efforts in the three-game set. The 28-year-old has five multi-hit tallies over the last 10 games, a stretch during which he's compiled all five of his RBI for the month. With Robinson Cano now back in the lineup and hitting ahead of him, Segura should also have more RBI opportunities going forward.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Strikes out three times in return
Moncada (teeth) went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in his return to the lineup Wednesday in the White Sox's 6-5 win over the Tigers.
As anticipated, Moncada was only forced to miss one game while recovering from a root canal. With that issue now behind him, Moncada should reprise his full-time role at second base the rest of the season, but the 23-year-old hasn't proven to be much of an asset lately. He's hitting a lowly .167 in August while striking out in more than half of his plate appearances.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Rays' Matt Duffy: Receives breather Thursday
Duffy is out of the lineup versus the Yankees on Thursday, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.
Duffy will take a seat for the series finale after starting 15 of the previous 16 games. In his place, Joey Wendle will man third base while Brandon Lowe picks up a start at the keystone.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Back in Wednesday's lineup
Moncada (teeth) will man second base and bat seventh against Detroit on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Moncada underwent part one of a root canal Tuesday and will head back to the dentist for part two Thursday during the club's scheduled off day. Considering he was able to make an appearance in Wednesday's starting lineup, he should also be available for Friday's series opener against Kansas City following Thursday's procedure.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Collects two more hits in loss
Candelario went 2-for-5 with a run scored in Tuesday's loss to the White Sox, extending his hitting streak to three games.
While a three-game hitting streak isn't too much to write home about, it's good to see Candelario productive after a prolonged slump saw his average drop to .228 coming into Tuesday's game. In 12 games this month, the 24-year-old is batting a much more respectable .267.
