Manager Rocco Baldelli acknowledged that Astudillo (hamstring) isn't certain to be activated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday when first eligible, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. "We'd like to get [Astudillo] outside and take some ground balls," Baldelli said. "That has been difficult, with the field being tarped and not being able to do that. I really don't have any new news on that because he's really done everything we've needed him to do in the training room...I can't tell you when he's coming off the IL. I can't tell you it's going to be 10 days, but I don't think it's going to be that long."

While Baldelli's comments suggest Astudillo won't require a minor-league rehab assignment before returning from the IL, it's clear the Twins want the 27-year-old to put in some more activity to prove his left hamstring is no longer an issue. The poor weather in the Midwest has complicated matters, but Astudillo should ramp up his workouts early this week before the Twins pinpoint a date for his activation. Hayes suggested that Saturday's doubleheader with the Tigers may be a more realistic target for Astudillo to return than Wednesday's series finale in Toronto.

Bregman went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Angels.

Bregman put Houston on top with a fifth-inning grand slam, and his team wouldn't lose the lead. He's hit four homers during his current three-game home run streak, racking up six hits and nine RBI during that span.

Urshela will start at third base and bat seventh Sunday against the Twins, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Urshela is making his third start in four games, but he'll likely have to settle for more of a part-time role moving forward after Miguel Andujar (shoulder) returned from the 10-day injured list Saturday. Andujar will serve as the Yankees' designated hitter Sunday, but he played third base in his return to the lineup a day earlier and is expected to be a mainstay at the hot corner if his torn right labrum doesn't present too many issues with his throwing.

Chapman went 2-for-4 a double, a triple and two runs in a loss to the Pirates on Saturday.

Chapman is knocking the cover off the ball thus far in May, as he's now ripped five extra-base hits (three doubles, one triple, one home run) in his first three games of the month. The 26-year-old third baseman is 7-for-14 during that stretch, pushing his season line to a stellar .306/.393/.621 (145 plate appearances).

Duffy, who had a scheduled day off Saturday in his rehab assignment with High-A Charlotte, came out of Friday's game without setbacks, Jeff Seidel of MLB.com reports. "Good day, three at-bats," manager Kevin Cash said. "Got down the line fine. Two defensive plays at third base [and] looked good. [He] came in today, felt very good."

Duffy will suit up again Sunday, although whether he'll once again man third base or fill the designated hitter role is yet to be decided. The rehabbing infielder is slated for multiple games with the Stone Crabs before being evaluated for possible activation.

Candelario went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in a 15-3 loss to the Royals on Saturday.

Saturday's game proved to be a lost cause for the Tigers, but Candelario was finally able to hit his first home run of the season. The 25-year-old is slashing .234/.336/.393 and has 15 runs scored and seven RBI over 29 games and has recently taken over as the Tigers' leadoff hitter.

Bregman went 3-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored Saturday against the Angels.

Bregman popped a solo home run in the first inning off Trevor Cahill and followed that with a three-run shot in the eighth inning against Chris Stratton. He now has eight home runs, four of which have come in his last four games. After a relatively slow start to the season, he now has a .275/.400/.541 line across 135 plate appearances.

Asche signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox on Friday.

Boston's infield depth at Triple-A has been depleted by injuries, so Asche will provide some short-term help. Chad De La Guerra was placed on the injured list as a corresponding move.

LeMahieu (knee) is starting at second base and leading off Saturday against the Twins.

He had been sidelined for almost a week with a minor knee injury but returns atop a lineup that gets another boost with the return of Miguel Andujar (shoulder) in this contest. With Troy Tulowitzki (calf) on the injured list, LeMahieu should be an everyday player for the Yankees for the foreseeable future.

Devers went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and two runs in Boston's 6-1 victory over the White Sox on Friday.

Devers finally got his first long ball of the year with a first-inning blast off Reynaldo Lopez. He's had his share of defensive concerns recently, but the 22-year-old is off to a solid start at the dish aside from the lack of power, as he's now hitting .298 with an excellent .382 on-base percentage over 114 at-bats.
