Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Won't travel with Blue Jays
Donaldson (calf) will not travel with the Blue Jays when they travel to Los Angeles on Thursday to begin a four-game series with the Angels, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Donaldson is expected to continue rehabbing in Florida before eventually heading out on a brief minor-league rehab assignment when deemed ready, likely ruling out a return over the weekend. At this point, the veteran third baseman remains without a timetable for his return as the Blue Jays continue to handle him with care.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Twins' Eduardo Escobar: Drives in three
Escobar went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox.
Escobar doubled in a couple of runs in the sixth inning, then came through with the game-winning RBI single in the eighth to break a 2-2 tie. The 29-year-old has now tallied three straight multi-hit games with five doubles and six RBI over that span, and is riding an eight-game hitting streak to raise his slash line to .305/.355/.582.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Blasts solo shot Tuesday
Devers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Twins.
Devers crushed a 418-foot shot to break a scoreless tie in the sixth inning, though it wasn't enough in the eventual 6-2 loss. The 21-year-old has now gone deep in consecutive games and has tallied multiple hits in four of the last five to raise his slash line to .243/.290/.430 on the year.

The 25-year-old could resume swinging Thursday if the treatment works as intended.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Team not concerned about knee injury
Chief Baseball Officer Derek Falvey didn't seem concerned about Lewis' knee injury, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. "I don't think there's anything there beyond just some general soreness that he's been fighting through."
Lewis told reporters earlier in the week that he's dealing with patellar tendinitis, but Falvey wouldn't confirm that diagnosis. Either way, the fact that he's leading off in the Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday suggests the injury isn't anything overly concerning. Lewis, the 2017 No. 1 overall draft pick, is hitting .302/.344/.455 with six homers and 16 stolen bases in 55 games with Low-A Cedar Rapids this season.

Pedro Alvarez 3B | MIA
Orioles' Pedro Alvarez: Designated for assignment Tuesday
Alvarez was designated for assignment by the Orioles on Tuesday.
Alvarez is hitting just .091 across seven games (two starts) in June and .180 on the season, so the Orioles decided to drop him from their 40-man roster. Steve Wilkerson had his contract purchased from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding roster move. Alvarez will now take a spin through waivers.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Delivers team's 12th straight win
Bregman went 1-for-5 with a two-run double in Monday's 5-4 win over the Rays.
Bregman did little against a string of Tampa Bay relievers until the ninth inning, when he delivered a walkoff double to give Houston its 12th consecutive victory. The 24-year-old third baseman has made a habit of coming up with big hits lately, collecting an extra-base hit in each of the last four games along with seven RBI.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Rays' Matt Duffy: Raps out three hits in win
Duffy went 3-for-4 with two RBI from a run-scoring single in a win over the Yankees on Sunday.
Duffy capped off both the Rays' three-run second and the team's scoring for the day with a timely single that plated Adeiny Hechavarria and Carlos Gomez. The 27-year-old continues to prove a difficult puzzle to solve for most pitchers, especially in June, when he's hit .339 over 16 games. All three components of Duffy's current .318/.360/.439 line represent career bests, and he's now just six RBI away from equaling the 28 he compiled in 2016 -- his most recent season prior to the current campaign -- over 127 additional plate appearances.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Launches 11th homer
Devers went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run to help Boston to a 9-3 victory over Seattle on Sunday.
This was the third multi-hit effort in four games for Devers, who has also now hit safely in 12 of his last 13 contests overall. His .239/.287/.418 slash line through 268 at-bats remains unspectacular. However, the 21-year-old is clearly talented, and he's been in a nice groove lately, with Sunday's blast putting him on pace to hit 24 long balls this season.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Dealing with patellar tendinitis
Lewis is dealing with patellar tendinitis in his left knee but still hopes to play in the Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Lewis left Saturday's game due to a sore knee. However, the move was said to be precautionary, and team doctors say he has no structural damage. The 2017 No. 1 overall draft pick is hitting .302 with a .799 OPS and 16 stolen bases at Low-A Cedar Rapids.
