Devers will have his injured hamstring evaluated Sunday and will likely require a stint on the disabled list, Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.

Manager Alex Cora broke the possible DL news during his post-game media session. Devers strained the hamstring early in the game on a bunt attempt, then it tightened up on him while rounding second base in the ninth inning.

Devers left Saturday's game against the Twins with an apparent lower-body injury, Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.

Silverman said Devers appeared to hop approaching third base, so it could be a hamstring, knee or quad injury. He apparently would have scored easily on the play, but he had to pull up at third base. Brock Holt replaced him as a pinch runner. His status will be updated when the team provides an official diagnosis.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a double and a run in a loss to the Rockies on Friday.

Although the Athletics underwhelmed as a whole in the friendly hitting conditions of Coors Field, Chapman was an exception. The 25-year-old continues to wield a smoldering bat, with Friday's tally representing his fifth multi-hit effort in the last seven games. Chapman is now hitting .329 overall in July, and coupled with an even more impressive June in which he hit .347, he's raised his season average 41 points to .269 over his last 32 games.

Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Twins.

This was Devers' first homer since June 30, and he couldn't have picked a better spot to hit it. The 21-year-old third baseman scalded a leadoff blast in the ninth inning that left the bat at 112.1 mph with a 17-degree launch angle. The hit tied the game at 3-3, sending it into extra innings, where Mookie Betts won it in the 10th with a solo shot. Devers has driven in 19 runs over his last 26 games.

Madrigal is hitting .452 with three doubles, six RBI and eight runs scored over his first nine games at Low-A Kannapolis.

Madrigal battled a hamstring injury while getting his first exposure to pro ball in the rookie Arizona League but has returned from that setback. He came out of Oregon State known as a polished hitter and hasn't done anything to tarnish that impression. The 21-year-old middle infielder has yet to strike out in 53 minor-league plate appearances.

Duffy is out of the lineup against Baltimore on Friday.

Duffy will receive a breather after starting the previous five games, during which he's gone just 1-for-20 with one RBI. In his absence, Daniel Robertson will man third base while Joey Wendle gets a start at the keystone.

Chapman went 3-for-3 with two triples, a walk, three runs scored and one RBI in the 7-6 win over Texas on Thursday.

Chapman drilled three triples during the month of April but hadn't hit another one up until Thursday's contest. The 25-year-old is hitting .319 (23-for-72) in July, giving him a .266 average in 2018. In his second big league season, Chapman has 12 homers and 35 RBI, just behind his 2017 totals of 14 long balls and 40 RBI.

Segura went 1-for-3 with a go-ahead RBI single in a win over the Giants on Wednesday.

Segura's hit to center in the eighth plated Guillermo Heredia to snap a 2-2 tie, giving the Mariners a one-run lead that would ultimately prove to be enough. The 28-year-old has cooled off in July after a torrid first three months-plus of the season, but he's still hit safely in eight straight games. However, all of those have been one-hit efforts, leading to a pedestrian .246 average and .274 on-base percentage for the month.

Candelario went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Royals.

Candelario batted leadoff in this one with Leonys Martin getting a day off and he performed well. The 24-year-old has cooled off after a strong start to the year, as he's batting just .184 since the beginning of June, but he still figures prominently into the future plans for the rebuilding Tigers, so Candelario should continue to receive regular playing time over the rest of this season.

Duffy is 1-for-12 with an RBI over the three games he's played since missing two contests against the Marlins last week with back spasms.

It's unknown if the issue is still affecting him to a degree, as offensive struggles have been a rarity for Duffy in what has been a stellar season. Despite the downturn over the last three games and a rather ordinary July overall (.254 average across 72 plate appearances), Duffy's .309 average and .363 on-base percentage on the season both qualify as career bests.
