Moncada (hamstring) will return from the disabled list prior to Tuesday's game against the Pirates, James Fegan of The Athletic Chicago reports.

The White Sox have an off-day Monday, but they are already clearing a spot for Moncada on the 25-man roster, by optioning Jose Rondon back to Triple-A Charlotte after Sunday's game. Those in weekly lineups can rest easy deploying Moncada this week. The toolsy second baseman only ended up missing the minimum 10 days with the minor hamstring injury. He is hitting .263/.359/.509 with six home runs and four steals on four attempts in 29 games this season.

The Tigers sent the MRI results of Candelario's left wrist to another doctor, but "everything's going to be fine," according to manager Ron Gardenhire, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.

The injury will reportedly require a surgical procedure in the offseason, but the plan is for Candelario to continue to play through the pain this season. The existing injury flared up during Saturday's doubleheader and kept Candelario out of Sunday's game against the Mariners. Gardenhire's comments suggest his starting third baseman won't require a disabled list stint, and he should be considered day-to-day going forward.

Moncada (hamstring) put in a full workout Sunday and could be reinstated from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Moncada was able to do some jogging on the field in addition to fielding grounders and taking batting practice, an indication that he's coming along nicely in his recovery from the left hamstring injury. After an off-day Monday, Moncada will likely travel with the White Sox to Pittsburgh and have his condition reassessed Tuesday before team trainers reach a decision on his playing status. Leury Garcia would seemingly be most vulnerable of losing out on steady at-bats once Moncada is formally activated.

Alvarez (hamstring) is expected to return to the lineup Tuesday against the Phillies, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.

With Alvarez's health having taken a turn for the better in recent days, a trip to the disabled list doesn't seem to be in play. However, the hamstring issue will confine Alvarez to the bench for the fourth straight contest Sunday versus the Rays, resulting in Danny Valencia picking up a start at third base.

Candelario is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners after his existing left wrist injury flared up during Saturday's doubleheader, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. He's scheduled to undergo an MRI but may still be available Sunday as a pinch hitter.

The wrist issue has bothered Candelario off and on throughout his career, but unless the MRI reveals structural damage, it's likely that the third baseman will continue to play through the pain. According to Chris McCosky of The Detroit News, Candelario will ultimately require surgery to address the wrist, though that's something the 24-year-old hopes to delay until the offseason, given the lengthy recovery timetable such a procedure requires. Pete Kozma will replace Candelario at the hot corner Sunday, but Niko Goodrum or JaCoby Jones would represent likelier long-term solutions at the position should Candelario require a trip to the disabled list.

Segura is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Tigers.

Segura, who was 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Game 1, will receive a rare game off Saturday night. Andrew Romine will bat ninth and start at shortstop for Seattle.

Duffy is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy, who went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in the first inning of the Rays' loss in Game 1, will take a seat for the nightcap after starting the last 10 games. The 27-year-old is slashing .309/.342/.409 with 31 strikeouts in 110 at-bats this season.

Chapman went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, two walks and two runs in a win over the Yankees on Friday.

Chapman was a constant offensive presence in the resounding win, and his strong night was akin to an oasis in the desert for fantasy owners. Going into Friday's game, Chapman was mired in a 3-for-38 slump that dated back to April 28, and he hadn't homered since April 27. The performance against the Yankees was certainly a good start, but given the extent of his struggles, the 25-year-old's May average still remains a minuscule .088.

Manager Buck Showalter said Alvarez is not ready to start after testing his hamstring prior to Saturday's doubleheader, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

The manager failed to comment on whether Alvarez would be available off the bench, but it seems as though Showalter wants to give his third baseman a little more time to recover after leaving with a cramp during Thursday's affair. In his place, Jace Peterson will man the hot corner for Game 1 of Saturday's twin bill.

Urshela was added to the active roster prior to Saturday's game against Boston.

In order to make room for Urshela on the 25-man roster, Dalton Pompey was sent back to Triple-A Buffalo. Urshela will serve as a reserve infielder after coming over from Cleveland earlier this week.
