Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Reinstated, starting Friday
Senzel (knee) was activated from the 10-day injured list and is batting seventh while starting at third base Friday versus the Astros, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Senzel will return to the big leagues Friday after missing the minimum 10 days while nursing a sore right knee. The 27-year-old appeared in two games with Triple-A Louisville while on a rehab assignment, going 2-for-7 with two runs scored while walking once and striking out twice. Prior to getting hurt, Senzel had produced a .277 average with three doubles, nine RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base over his previous 13 games. Jose Barrero was optioned to Louisville in order to open a roster spot for Senzel.

Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Taking seat Friday
McMahon is absent from the lineup for Friday's game in Atlanta.
The left-handed hitting McMahon is being given a day off with Atlanta sending southpaw Jared Shuster to the mound. Nolan Jones -- who also swings lefty -- will receive his first start major-league start at third base.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Marlins' Jean Segura: Sitting Friday
Segura is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Nationals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Segura will take a seat after he went 1-for-10 with a run scored, a walk and a strikeout while starting all three games of the team's series with Seattle. Jon Berti will take over at the hot corner and bat seventh in the opener with Washington.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Nationals' Jeimer Candelario: Swipes rare bag
Candelario went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's extra-inning win over the Astros.
The steal was the second of the season for Candelario, who has only nine pilfers in his career through 670 big-league games. The third baseman has gone cold at the plate in June, batting .135 (5-for-37) with two doubles, a homer, five runs and five RBI in 11 contests.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Goes deep in second straight game
Machado went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run against the Guardians in a loss Thursday.
After Cleveland posted five first-inning runs, Machado got San Diego right back in the game with his three-run blast off rookie Logan Allen in the bottom of the frame. It was Machado's second home run in as many days after he went deep just six times over his first 50 games this season. The star third baseman has begun to heat up after a slow start to the campaign, slashing .385/.400/.667 with three homers, six RBI and nine runs over his past nine games.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Hamstring strain is low-grade
Muncy said Thursday on Foul Territory that his left hamstring strain is of the low-grade variety.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Wednesday that it was a Grade 2 hamstring strain, but the diagnosis isn't quite that drastic. "If it was a Grade 2, you're looking at a month, two months," Muncy said. "Thankfully that's not what I'm looking at right now." He's yet to be placed on the injured list and could perhaps return to action this weekend against the rival Giants.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Pops homer in win
Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Guardians.
Machado has five multi-hit efforts over his last eight games, but he's logged just four extra-base hits in that span. He's homered twice over the last five contests, bringing him up to seven long balls on the campaign. The third baseman is at a .249/.295/.398 slash line with 22 RBI, 26 runs scored, two stolen bases and nine doubles through 51 games in what's been a down year for him across the board.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Brewers' Brian Anderson: Slugs solo homer
Anderson went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Wednesday's loss against the Twins.
Anderson got the Brewers on the board with a solo shot off Bailey Ober in the second inning, the first of back-to-back homers against the right-hander, with the latter coming off the bat of Luis Urias. It was Anderson's first home run since May 24 against the Astros and only his second extra-base hit in the month of June, where he's hitting just .200 through 12 games.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Dealing with Grade 2 strain
MRI results revealed Wednesday that Muncy has a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
Manager Dave Roberts said the Dodgers won't place Muncy on the injured list just yet, and the hope is for Muncy to return Saturday against the Giants. The 32-year-old third baseman has already missed two games due to his hamstring strain and could still end up on the IL if he's not ready to come back this weekend.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Out again with hamstring strain
Muncy (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Muncy tweaked his left hamstring during Sunday's game in Philadelphia and has now sat out two in a row. It's not clear at this point whether he might require a stint on the injured list, as he was expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday to provide more clarity. Chris Taylor is at third base Wednesday.
