Braves' Austin Riley: Continues second-half surge

Riley went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI in Wednesday's 11-9 win over Miami.

Though he was overshadowed by teammate Freddie Freeman hitting for his second career cycle, Riley once again delighted fantasy managers with another excellent box-score line. Since the All-Star break, Riley has performed like one of the majors' top hitters, slashing .352/.413/.696 with 12 home runs, 33 RBI and 27 runs in 32 contests.

Giants' Evan Longoria: Gets Wednesday off

Longoria is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Longoria and fellow veteran Buster Posey will both be extended breathers for the day game after both played in the first two contests of the series with New York. Kris Bryant will step in at third base for Longoria, who has gone 5-for-11 with a solo home run, a walk and three additional runs in his first four games since returning from the injured list last week.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Giants' Evan Longoria: Records three hits

Longoria went 3-for-3 with a home run in Tuesday's win over the Mets.

Longoria blasted his 10th homer of the season off Marcus Stroman in the seventh inning, but the veteran third baseman delivered a strong all-around offensive game and reached base in all three of his at-bats. The former Rays star has hit safely in three of his four games since returning from a lengthy spell on the injured list but has been seeing the ball well during most of the year. He has hit safely in all but one of his last 14 games -- dating back to May 22 -- and is hitting .432 with five homers and 14 RBI over that span.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Not starting Wednesday

  • Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL

Reds' Kyle Farmer: Resting for day game

Farmer is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
