Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Two-run homer in Game 2
Suarez went 1-for-2 with a walk and a two-run home run in the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Pirates.
At this point, it will be tough for Suarez to lift his batting average back up close to his career mark (.262). However, he's looked a lot more like himself lately with a .277/.340/.723 line and six homers in his last 14 games. Overall, he has a .192 average, .741 OPS, nine homers and 22 RBI in 38 games.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Reds' Mike Moustakas: Finally ends power drought
Moustakas went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Pirates.
While Moustakas did not start in the matinee, he did have a pinch-hit double off the bench in Game 1, so he was 3-for-4 for the day. The homer was especially good to see, as Moustakas had gone a whopping 21 games without a long ball and hit only two doubles during that stretch. Perhaps he's starting to feel like he has his legs under him again after his season was derailed early on by a quadriceps injury.

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Cranks 10th homer
Muncy went 1-for-5 with a solo home run during Friday's loss over the Rockies.
Muncy wasted no time evening the score at 1-1 with a solo homer against Antonio Senzatela in the first inning. The long ball marked the 10th of the season for the 30-year-old, who is hitting .209/.337/.446 with 24 runs scored and 21 RBI.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Not starting Friday
McMahon isn't in Friday's lineup against the Dodgers.
Even with a right-hander (Dustin May) on the mound for the Dodgers, McMahon will take a seat for a second consecutive game. Daniel Murphy will take over at first base.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Mets' J.D. Davis: Delivers clutch homer
Davis went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run Thursday against the Yankees.
Davis was hitless coming to the plate in the ninth inning, but delivered a solo home run against Aroldis Chapman to knot the game at seven. He was out of the lineup for two games due to a hip injury, but managed to retake the field and slug his first home run since Aug. 18. Overall, Davis has put together a .274/.390/.427 line with five home runs, 17 runs scored and 13 RBI across 141 plate appearances.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Diamondbacks' Eduardo Escobar: Sitting Thursday amid slump
Escobar is not in Thursday's lineup against the Dodgers.
He is hitting .171 with one home run in 35 at-bats over his last 10 games. Andy Young will start at third base and bat seventh against lefty Clayton Kershaw.

The star third baseman has been one of the most productive bats in the San Diego lineup, racking up 11 homers with 20 extra-base hits and 32 RBI in 167 plate appearances across 38 games.

Kevin Newman 3B | LAA
Pirates' Kevin Newman: Out of Thursday's lineup
Newman is not in Thursday's lineup against the Cubs.
He is hitting .200 with zero home runs and zero steals over his last 10 games. With Adam Frazier, Erik Gonzalez and Ke'Bryan Hayes all trending toward regular playing time, Newman will get more days off down the stretch.

Carter Kieboom 3B | CLE
Nationals' Carter Kieboom: Making progress at alt site
Kieboom has been swinging the bat better at the Nationals' alternate site and according to manager Dave Martinez could rejoin the big-league roster "in the next week or so," Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
"I'd love to get him back up here and let him play. I want him to gain some confidence again, and then when he comes up here, see what he can do," Martinez said Wednesday. Kieboom had zero extra-base hits and a 38.7 percent strikeout rate when he was jettisoned from the roster, and the 23-year-old may not immediately regain the starting job at third base when he returns given the Nats' wealth of veteran utility options who can fill in at the hot corner.
