Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: On base three times in twin bill
Longoria went 2-for-5 with a walk and a run scored across both halves of Tuesday's doubleheader versus Colorado.
Longoria wasn't in the lineup for the first game, but he entered as a pinch hitter in the fifth inning. In the nightcap, he started at third base and batted cleanup. The 35-year-old snapped an 0-for-10 skid at the plate Tuesday. Overall, he's slashing .284/.398/.527 with four home runs, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored in 26 games this season.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Launches homer in Game 2
Muncy went 1-for-4 with a home run and two strikeouts in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs.
Muncy wasn't having his best performance at the plate, but he made his presence felt in the seventh inning when he launched a solo shot off Craig Kimbrel that evened things up at 1-1. It was Muncy's fourth long ball of the season, but he has been struggling at the plate overall, hitting .209 with a .799 OPS in 2021.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Marlins' Brian Anderson: Goes yard in return
Anderson went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
He missed the prior 11 games with an oblique strain, but Anderson got the ball rolling for the Marlins' offense by taking Riley Smith deep in the first inning. The veteran third baseman was off to a slow start this season before the injury, as he's still batting just .206 with two homers and eight RBI through 18 games.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Returning to action Wednesday
Senzel (shoulder) will be in the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
The 25-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's starting nine with shoulder soreness, but he's expected to be back in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale. Senzel is 6-for-15 with one homer, two walks, one stolen base, two RBI and two runs over his past four games.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Hitting in batting cage
Hayes (wrist/hand) faced live pitching in the batting cage Tuesday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Assistant hitting coach Christian Romero said the 24-year-old looked good in the cage, which is welcome news after the Pirates said Monday the third baseman didn't have an official timeline for his return. Hayes has been battling discomfort in his lower hand and wrist, and he's currently traveling with the team on its seven-game road trip through San Diego and Chicago.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Marlins' Brian Anderson: Returns to lineup
Anderson (oblique) was activated from the injured list as expected Tuesday, and he'll bat fifth and play third base against the Diamondbacks.
Anderson missed two weeks with a left oblique strain. He was hitting just .200/.262/.300 prior to being shut down. Monte Harrison was optioned in a corresponding move.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Scratched with sore shoulder
Senzel was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox due to a sore shoulder, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
This is already the second time the oft-injured outfielder has dealt with a shoulder injury this season, as he left the Reds' Opening Day contest for the same reason. He missed only one game that time, but it remains to be seen whether he'll be similarly lucky this time around. Tyler Naquin entered the lineup as his replacement.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Sits for first time
Arenado is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Mets, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Arenado sits after starting each of the Cardinals' first 29 games. He's bounced back nicely from a poor 2020 campaign, though leaving Coors Field has taken the expected bite out of his numbers. He's hitting a solid .265/.325/.496 with five homers through his first 29 games in a Cardinals uniform. Matt Carpenter will fill in for him at third base Tuesday.
-
Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Phillies' Jean Segura: Begins rehab assignment
Segura (quadriceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Segura has missed two weeks with a strained right quadriceps, but it looks like his return is now on the horizon. The Phillies haven't provided an exact timeline, but he shouldn't need very many rehab games to get back in shape following a relatively brief absence.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: On bench for afternoon game
Longoria will sit for the first half of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rockies, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Those with Longoria on their teams won't love seeing him miss out on a game at Coors Field, but it's no surprise that the Giants won't ask his 35-year-old legs to handle two games in one day. Jason Vosler starts at third base in his absence, but Longoria will likely return to the lineup for the nightcap.
