McMahon went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to Arizona.

McMahon notched two base hits earlier on and then doubled home a run in the eighth to bring the Rockies within three. The 26-year-old has two multi-hit games in the first week of July but has shown some regression in the power department. He hasn't hit a home run since June 15 and has just three since June 1 after hitting 13 over the first two months of the season. For the year, McMahon is slashing .255/.316/.480 with 16 homers, 46 RBI, 48 runs scored, four steals and a 27:86 BB:K over 326 plate appearances.

Escobar went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 6-4 win over Colorado.

Escobar's three-run blast in the seventh inning increased the Diamondbacks' lead to 6-1. It looked like superfluous insurance, but it became necessary when the Rockies plated three in the top of the eighth to close the gap. It was the second homer in five games for Escobar, who is 7-for-14 with five RBI and four runs scored during that stretch. Arizona's lone representative at the All-Star game has 19 home runs and 58 RBI through 84 games.

Peterson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a 4-3 loss to the Mets in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Peterson went yard off Mets ace Jacob deGrom in the fifth inning. Factoring in Luis Urias' leadoff homer, Milwaukee was the first team to hit multiple long balls in one game off deGrom. Peterson was then the inning-opening runner in an eighth inning considered an extra frame, and he scored when Christian Yelich was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The 30-year-old Peterson is up to four homers, 19 RBI and 20 runs scored through 38 games.

Chapman is resting Wednesday due to a stomach flu, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Manager Bob Melvin said Chapman, who is dealing with dehydration, was briefly at the hospital before being released. Further updates should hint at whether the 28-year-old will return to the hot corner for Thursday's series finale in Houston.

Bregman (quadriceps) will hit on the field ahead of Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bregman began light running at the beginning of July, and he'll take another significant step in his recovery by hitting Wednesday. While the 27-year-old has indicated that he's way ahead of schedule in his recovery timetable, he won't return until sometime after the All-Star break.

Chapman isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Chapman had recorded hits in each of the last three contests, and he went 5-for-14 with a run and three strikeouts during that time. He'll get a rare day off while Chad Pinder starts at the hot corner and bats ninth.

Rivera (wrist) participated in fielding drills ahead of Wednesday's game against the Orioles, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Rivera still had a cast on his left wrist during Wednesday's drills, but he was still able to do some light throwing during pregame warmups. It's still not yet clear when he could return to game action as he continues to recover from a left hamate fracture that has kept him sidelined since June 30, but it's encouraging that he's still able to participate in activities while he's in a cast.

Davis (hand) isn't expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the All-Star break, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Davis has been recovering from a sprained left hand since the beginning of May, and he's made four rehab appearances at Triple-A Syracuse in the last week. He's gone 2-for-9 with a double, an RBI, three walks and three strikeouts in his rehab stint, and the Mets were initially optimistic that he could be reinstated from the injured list as early as this weekend. However, manager Luis Rojas said Wednesday he doesn't "feel strongly" the 28-year-old will return ahead of the All-Star break, so it appears as though the team will take a cautious approach before clearing Davis to return.

Manager David Bell said that part of the reason Farmer is not starting Wednesday is that he's dealing with "body soreness," Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

It doesn't sound like the soreness is something that will make Farmer entirely unavailable for a period of time, but Bell said that "the more rest he can get, the better." The shortstop figures to be available off the bench Wednesday against the Royals and seems likely to rejoin the starting nine Thursday in Milwaukee.

Moncada isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Twins.

Moncada returned from a hand injury Monday and went 1-for-9 with a triple, two RBI and two strikeouts across his last two appearances. Jake Burger will start at the hot corner while Gavin Sheets takes over at first base.
