Machado (shoulder) will remain out of the starting lineup for the fifth straight game Tuesday against the Brewers.

Machado has been sidelined since May 19 with the shoulder issue and it remains unknown when he could return to the lineup. Ha-Seong Kim will get the start at the hot corner once again Tuesday.

LeMahieu's absence from the lineup for Tuesday's game against Toronto is due to the birth of his child, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.

The news explains why LeMahieu finds himself on the bench for the second time in three games. The Yankees have yet to officially place him on the injured list, but such a move could be coming soon.

Newman is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game agains the Cubs.

This figures to be just a day off for Newman, as he's been a consistent presence in Pittsburgh's lineup during the Pirates' first 46 games. Cole Tucker will start at shortstop.

LeMahieu finds himself sitting for the second time in three games, which suggests he could be dealing with an unreported minor injury. Rougned Odor will be the second baseman Tuesday.

The Cubs recalled Wisdom from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Maddie Lee of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

The first and third baseman has struggled to the tune of a .160 average in 25 minor-league at-bats this season; however, three of his four hits have been homers. Wisdom will provide much-needed infield depth while Matt Duffy (back) spends time on the injured list.

Duffy was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a lower-back strain, Maddie Lee of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Originally labeled back tightness, Duffy's condition appears to be more serious than the Cubs initially thought. Having hit .286 in his last 13 games. the 30-year-old has been a reliable option at a number of positions and will be sorely missed while his back heals.

Anderson underwent an MRI on his sore left shoulder Tuesday, the results of which have yet to be released, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.

Anderson left Monday's game against the Phillies with the injury. It comes at a bad time for the third baseman, as he was finally starting to heat up at the plate, posting a 1.006 OPS over his last 11 games after struggling to a .556 OPS over his first 24. Once the results of the tests are made public, it should become clear whether he'll need a stint on the injured list.

Davis (finger/neck) could return to the lineup next week, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

On the injured list with a sprained finger, Davis' rehab stint at Triple-A Syracuse was paused over the weekend while he dealt with a stiff neck. Manager Luis Rojas indicated that the team wants to see him to play a full nine innings in a few straight games before being activated, which would make early next week the most likely timeline for his return to the Mets' depleted lineup.

Groshans hasn't played at Double-A New Hampshire since May 18 due to mild lower-back soreness, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The Blue Jays don't appear to be overly concerned about the injury and believe that with some extra rest, Groshans will be able to avoid an extended absence. The 21-year-old dabbled at both shortstop and third base through his first 11 games with New Hampshire, batting .244 with no home runs and no stolen bases while striking out 13 times in 48 plate appearances (27.1 percent).

Segura went 2-for-5 with an RBI, a stolen base, a double and a run scored Monday against the Marlins.

Segura delivered an RBI double in the top of the ninth inning to close the gap, but Miami would hang on for the 9-6 victory. He's in the midst of a modest four-game hitting streak, collecting two extra-base hits, three RBI and two walks over that brief stretch. Segura is slashing .331/.373/.484 through 33 contests in 2021.
