Senzel will undergo surgery next week to repair the torn labrum in his right shoulder, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Senzel was shut down earlier this month, and unfortunately, surgery will be necessary. Manager David Bell said he hopes Senzel will be ready for Opening Day. The 24-year-old showed flashes of his upside this season and handled the transition to center field well, but he has played in just 343 games in four professional seasons and the durability questions aren't going away any time soon.

LeMahieu is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

This looks like a routine breather for a day game after a night game, with the Yankees gearing up for what they hope will be a deep postseason run. Brett Gardner will lead off against right-hander T.J. Zeuch as Gio Urshela mans third base. LeMahieu, once thought to be a Coors Field product, is batting .292 in September and has not hit below .280 in any month this season.

Muncy exited Friday's win over the Rockies due to a tight quad, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Muncy felt tightness in his quad while breaking out of the batter's box on his two-run double in the seventh inning. Though Muncy temporarily remained in the contest to run the bases, Jedd Gyorko came in to replace him at third base at the start of the eighth. Manager Dave Roberts indicated that Muncy will be reevaluated Saturday, at which point his availability for the evening game against Colorado will be determined.

Moncada went 2-for-3 with a walk, a two-run homer and a second run scored in Friday's 10-1 win over the Tigers.

Moncada continues to terrorize AL pitching this month, raising his batting average 26 points following a stretch during which he's batted .477 (31-for-65) over his last 15 games. He ranks fourth in the AL with a .314 average, 79 points better than where he finished in 2018.

Arenado went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's loss at Dodger Stadium.

Arenado cracked open the scoring with a 399-foot solo homer off Clayton Kershaw in the first inning. It was his fourth career long ball off Kershaw and his team-leading 41st of the season. He also leads the Rockies in hits (179), RBI (118) and on-base percentage (.379).

Segura was scratched from Friday's starting lineup against the Indians due to an ankle injury, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Segura was initially listed in the starting lineup, but after going through batting practice, he's been scratched. Scott Kingery will move over to shortstop and Maikel Franco is set to man third.

McMahon is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers.

McMahon has struggled this month outside of a two-homer game Sunday, so manager Bud Black decided to hold him out Friday night. With McMahon out, Pat Valaika will cover second base, and Daniel Murphy will get the start at first.

Segura (hamstring) is in the lineup for Friday's game against the Indians.

Segura left Thursday's game with a hamstring camp and was sent for more tests, but those apparently did not reveal anything more serious. He will assume his regular spot at shortstop Friday night.

Newman went 2-for-6 with an RBI single in Thursday's loss to Seattle.

He's slashing .379/.429/.563 in his last 112 plate appearances since Aug. 21, lifting his overall batting average to .317 -- good for sixth in the NL, right next to teammate Bryan Reynolds. Newman is showing few signs of slowing down after his disappointing late-season debut (.209/.247/.231) in 2018. He continues to thrive hitting exclusively out of the leadoff spot and has three hits in five career at-bats against Friday's starter Chase Anderson.

LeMahieu went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Thursday's victory over the Angels.

LeMahieu kicked off the scoring for the Yankees with a three-run shot to right field in the second inning. The blast was his 25th of the season -- 10 more than the career high he set last year while playing half his games in the high altitude of Colorado. LeMahieu has exceeded all expectations in his first year as a Yankee, complementing the power numbers with a .329/.377/.518 slash line, 97 RBI and 106 runs scored.
