Astudillo (hamstring) worked out Tuesday and could be activated from the IL before Wednesday's game or Friday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

With Jason Castro sitting out with a sore right elbow, the Twins may be motivated to get another catcher on the active roster. Astudillo may not be sent out on a rehab assignment as a result.

Longoria went 2-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Tuesday's 14-4 rout of the Rockies.

His second-inning blast off Anthony Senzatela was Longo's fifth home run of the year. The veteran third baseman is having another sluggish year at the plate, slashing .235/.285/.435 through 32 games, but Longoria is on pace for his first 25-homer campaign since 2016.

Bregman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 12-2 loss to the Royals.

His sixth-inning shot off Danny Duffy put the Astros on the board, but they were already in an 8-0 hole by then. Bregman is now slashing .283/.401/.575 through 34 games with 10 homers and 24 RBI, and the 25-year-old is actually ahead of last year's breakout pace.

LeMahieu went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and a walkoff RBI in the Yankees' 5-4 win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

LeMahieu had a nice day from the leadoff spot, reaching base four times and knocking in the game-winning run. He's been swinging a hot bat since his return from the injured list, recording multiple hits in three of his first four games back. LeMahieu still only has one homer through 115 at-bats, but he's slashing .330/.385/.443 and has also laced 10 doubles.

Urshela went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in the Yankees' 5-4 win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

The Yankees were trailing 4-2 with one out in the ninth inning, but Urshela came to the rescue with a game-tying two-run blast off Anthony Swarzak, before DJ LeMahieu got a walkoff hit later in the inning. Urshela was initially expected to see his playing time reduced with Miguel Andujar's return from the injured list, but he's slashing .360/.424/.547 over 75 at-bats, and manager Aaron Boone said he wants to continue to deploy Urshela at the hot corner regularly, per MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.

McMahon isn't starting Tuesday against the Giants, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

McMahon will get the night off after collecting two hits in Sunday's series finale against Arizona. Garrett Hampson gets the nod at the keystone and will bat seventh in McMahon's stead.

Longoria (shoulder) is starting at third base and batting fifth Tuesday against the Rockies, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

Longoria missed the past three contests due to shoulder inflammation, but he's been cleared to return for the series opener. He's 5-for-15 with a homer and five RBI over his last five games.

Kieboom was optioned to Triple-A Fresno on Tuesday, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.

The Nationals' top prospect could have potentially stayed up for good if he had hit the ground running, but after hitting .128/.209/.282 with a 37.2 percent strikeout rate in 43 plate appearances, he was a natural candidate to be sent down with Anthony Rendon (elbow) coming off the injured list. Kieboom hit .379/.506/.636 with three home runs in 18 games at Triple-A prior to making his big-league debut.

Rendon (elbow) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.

As anticipated, Rendon will be available for Tuesday's matchup and figures to enter the starting lineup at third base, bumping Howie Kendrick to first base for the time being.

Kieboom went 0-for-4 in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Brewers.

Kieboom is now off to a 5-for-39 (.128 average) start to his MLB career and has struck out in 37.2 percent of his plate appearances while making four errors in the field. Though Trea Turner (finger) is likely multiple weeks away from returning from the injured list, the 14-20 Nationals may have a tough time justifying letting Kieboom work through his struggles at the plate and on defense for much longer at the big-league level. The Nationals are set to activate Anthony Rendon (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, and there's a real possibility that the team sends Kieboom back to the farm in a corresponding move and reinstalls Wilmer Difo as the primary shortstop until Turner returns.
