  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Receives rare rest

Ramirez will not start Sunday against the Tigers.

Ramirez will sit for just the fourth time this season. Adam Rosales will get the call at second base.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Reaches base five times

Muncy went 1-for-1 with four walks, an RBI and a pair of runs scored in Saturday's win over St. Louis.

Muncy's power outbreak has calmed a bit (by his standards) with just two homers over his last 17 games, but he has continued to be an on-base machine with 13 walks over that span. The 27-year-old is no longer seeing everyday playing time, but he remains in the lineup against right-handed starters more often than not, keeping his fantasy value afloat.

  • Dodgers' Manny Machado: Cranks 35th homer

Machado went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 17-4 rout of the Cardinals on Saturday.

Machado provided one of the Dodgers' five long balls, upping his season total to 35 in the process. The 25-year-old is just two homers and one RBI away from tying his career highs in each category with 13 games left in the 2018 campaign.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Rays' Matt Duffy: Notches 11th stolen base

Duffy went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the A's.

Duffy reached base twice in this one, poking a single in the first frame before walking and stealing second base in the seventh. The 27-year-old now has 11 stolen bases, just one shy of his career high set in 2014. He's also sporting a healthy .297/.360/.369 slash line over 123 games.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Notches three hits and homer

Chapman went 3-for-5 with a solo homer in Saturday's loss to the Rays.

Chapman collected a pair of singles before taking Sergio Romo deep in the ninth inning for his 23rd homer of the season. The third baseman has now hit safely in 11 of 13 games this month, going 16-for-53 (.302) with a home run and 11 RBI over that stretch.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cardinals' Patrick Wisdom: Hits grand slam

Wisdom went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.

The grand slam provided all of the Cardinals' runs in their 17-4 loss. The 27-year-old now has four homers in 45 plate appearances in his debut season, hitting .231/.333/.538 overall.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Homer short of cycle

Ramirez went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, a double and a triple in Saturday's 15-0 win over the Tigers.

It's Ramirez's first multi-hit game since Aug. 28, and he was slashing .164/.303/.255 with three extra-base hits over 66 plate appearances in that stretch prior to Saturday. The 25-year-old came up a home run short of the cycle and has a .282 average and .973 OPS with 38 home runs and 101 RBI this season.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Rays' Matt Duffy: On base twice in return

Duffy went 1-for-4 with a walk in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.

Duffy missed three starts with back tightness earlier this week, but he was finally healthy enough to resume a full-time role Friday. The hot-hitting infielder has reached safely in eight of nine September games, leading to a .300 average for the month.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Indians' Josh Donaldson: On bench Saturday

Donaldson is not in the lineup against the Tigers on Saturday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Donaldson will head to the bench following his second start with Cleveland on Friday, during which he went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. In his place, Yandy Diaz will pick up a start at third base and bat seventh. Look for Donaldson to return to the lineup Sunday.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Collects three hits Friday

Moncada went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 8-6 win over the Orioles.

Moncada had been dealing with a sore hip leading up to Friday's game, but apparently Thursday's off day was the right remedy. This was his fourth multi-hit game in the last 13, a stretch in which he's hitting .313 (15-for-48) with a 22.6 strikeout percentage. For the league leader in strikeouts (196), that strikeout rate is a great improvement on his season-long 33.1 K%.
