Rendon went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Phillies on Saturday.

The infielder left the yard for the second straight night, planting a no-doubter into the left field stands off Tommy Hunter to bring Washington within a run in the sixth inning. His 11th launch of the year was also his fifth in nine games, and in those nine contests to close out the month, he went 13-for-38 (.342), elevating his slash line to a sterling .292/.356/.530 in 264 plate appearances.

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Rays.

For the second straight day, the 24-year-old accounted for all of Houston's offense. There may be no hotter hitter in the majors right now than Bregman, who has homered in five of the last six games and is hitting .339 (21-for-62) with eight home runs, 14 runs and 20 RBI over his last 15 contests.

Segura went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Royals on Friday.

The 28-year-old now has three multi-hit efforts over the last four games, just the latest stretch of offensive success for a player who boasts a career-best .338/.366/.479 line over 342 plate appearances. Segura has now also matched his RBI total from last season, but he's accomplished the feat in 223 fewer opportunities. Given Dee Gordon's success as a leadoff man, Segura figures to continue enjoying a fair share of run-producing opportunities out of the No. 2 spot while also getting on base at an above-average clip.

Rendon went 3-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, three runs scored and three RBI in Friday's rout of the Phillies.

He was right in the thick of a 17-run, seven-homer explosion from the Nats offense, continuing a hot streak that has seen Rendon slash .400/.433/.782 with eight multi-hit performances, 13 extra-base hits (nine doubles, four home runs), 11 RBI and 12 runs over his last 14 games. On the season, the 28-year-old now boasts a .289/.354/.517 slash line with 10 homers, 33 runs and 34 RBI in 60 games.

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Rays.

Bregman provided all the runs the Astros could muster Friday with a lineup devoid of Carlos Correa (back), Yulieski Gurriel (personal) and George Springer (rest). Bregman filled in for Springer as the leadoff hitter and blasted his fourth home run in the last five games and 10th in June. The 24-year-old third baseman is slugging .702 in June, with 20 of his 32 hits going for extra bases.

Candelario went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

It's his 12th homer of the year and fourth in June, but otherwise Candelario has endured a tough month at the plate, hitting .167 over 26 games. Making contact has become an issue for the 26-year-old, as he's whiffed 32 times in 90 at-bats during that stretch, albeit with a solid 15 walks to balance them out. He'll need to start putting more balls in play to improve significantly on his .804 OPS in the second half.

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a solo home run to help Colorado to a 3-1 victory over the Dodgers on Friday.

It was the 20th homer of the season for the stud third baseman, who got to Scott Alexander with an eight-inning solo shot. Arenado is in the midst of yet another brilliant, MVP-caliber season, as he's currently slashing .310/.394/.593 with 57 RBI and 18 doubles to go along with the 20 long balls.

Chapman (hand) took 30 swings off a tee Friday and is optimistic that he will be able to participate in live batting practice this weekend, Julian McWilliams of The Athletic reports.

In addition, Chapman mentioned that he was feeling better after receiving another cortisone shot in his hand, along with a nerve injection as well. If all goes according to plan this weekend, the next step will be deciding whether he will require a short minor-league rehab assignment or if he can return to the big leagues immediately. Eric He of MLB.com reports that manager Bob Melvin feels the latter is a strong possibility, as he told reporters Friday that Chapman could potentially join the team for the beginning of a series against the Padres next Tuesday. Look for an update later on this weekend.

Muncy is not in the lineup against the Rockies on Friday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.

Muncy will receive a breather following 10 straight starts, during which he's slashed a robust .281/.500/.688 with four home runs. In his absence, Cody Bellinger will man first base while Enrique Hernandez gets a start in the outfield.

Astudillo will be promoted to the major leagues for the first time in his career Friday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Astudillo will be up to replace the injured Taylor Motter (concussion). The 26-year-old is one of the most unique players in affiliated baseball. His ability to make contact is incredible, as he's struck out a grand total of 76 times in nine minor-league seasons (good for a 3.2 percent strikeout rate). He can't really do anything else, though, as his defense has generally graded poorly and he's possessed little power, though the latter may be changing as he's posted a .517 slugging percentage in 85 games at the Triple-A level over the last two seasons. The Twins (Astudillo's fourth organization) will finally give the world the chance to see if his profile plays at the major-league level.
