Candelario (wrist) will bat leadoff against the Blue Jays on Friday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Candelario exited Thursday's game after getting hit by a pitch on his left wrist, but thankfully the X-rays came back negative. The 24-year-old is dealing with a wrist bruise that the Tigers apparently aren't overly concerned with, due to him being back at the top of the lineup Friday.

Donaldson (calf) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Tigers, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Donaldson is not in the lineup for the third consecutive game -- even with Thursday's off day -- since suffering the calf injury Monday. The 32-year-old indicated earlier this week he doesn't believe the injury to be serious, and likely still hope to return at some point during this weekend's series in Detroit.

LeMahieu (thumb) was activated from the 10-day disabled list and is leading off Friday against the Dodgers.

LeMahieu has been out since May 13 with the injury, and was hitting .279/.350/.457 with five home runs and three stolen bases in 129 at-bats prior to hitting the shelf. David Dahl (broken right foot) hit the DL in a corresponding move.

Chapman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's win over the Rays.

The 25-year-old's 404-foot shot to center in the seventh was the second of two homers off Ryan Yarbrough during the inning for the Athletics, extending their lead to 5-0 at the time. Chapman had gone 12 games without a round tripper prior to Thursday, his longest such stretch of the season. He'll look to put together a much more productive June after hitting just .186 while striking out at a 26.3-percent clip over 114 plate appearances in May.

Segura went 2-for-2 with a double, three runs, an RBI and a walk to help pace the Mariners to a 6-1 victory over the Rangers on Thursday.

Segura just can't stop hitting, as this marked his fifth multi-hit effort in his last six games - a torrid stretch that has brought his average up to a blistering .339 on the season. He only has four home runs over his 224 at-bats, but that's nitpicking when taking into account how fantastic the rest of his numbers are, and his slugging percentage is a robust .487, so it's not like he's only hitting singles. He's also swiped 12 bases to round off what has been a superb fantasy campaign so far for the 28-year-old shortstop.

Escobar went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored in the Twins' 9-8 defeat to the Indians on Thursday.

After putting up a phenomenal .959 OPS in April, Escobar scuffled in May with a .670 mark in the month over 105 at-bats, but he broke through and launched his first long ball in nearly three weeks with this sixth-inning blast off Shane Bieber. He's still got a solid .267/.324/.492 slash line on the season, so hopefully he can build off this strong performance and regain his early-season form as the calendar flips to June.

Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Cleveland's 9-8 victory over the Twins on Thursday.

Ramirez has been on an absolute tear of late, as this fourth-inning blast off Jake Odorizzi marked his 18th of the season, as well as his fourth in his last five games. His ridiculous 1.030 OPS through 212 at-bats coming off his breakout 2017 campaign suggests Ramirez might be poised to put up MVP-caliber numbers throughout the season.

Rendon went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI on Thursday against the Braves.

Rendon drove in both of the Nationals' runs on the night, driving in Trea Turner twice, once on a sacrifice fly and once on a single. While he hasn't homered since his hot performance against the Orioles, Rendon has recorded hits in eight of his past 10 games and has seen his average rise from .248 to .272 in that span.

Manager Ron Gardenhire said X-rays on Candelario's wrist came back negative following Thursday's game against the Angels, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Candelario exited Thursday's game after getting hit by a pitch on his left hand. Fortunately, it was determined that the third baseman is simply dealing with a bruise following further examination. The Tigers still figure to proceed cautiously with Candelario, as he spent some time on the disabled list earlier in the month with tendonitis in the same wrist he was plunked on. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Valencia (personal) is expected to be back for Friday's matchup against the Yankees, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Valencia was placed on paternity leave Wednesday after the birth of his son. He figures to be in the starting lineup at third base for the weekend's first tilt.
