Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Braves' Gio Urshela: Sitting down Thursday
Urshela isn't in Atlanta's lineup for Thursday's game against Philadelphia.
Urshela is slashing .290/.313/.355 with two RBI in eight games since joining Atlanta on Aug. 20, though he's been dealing with some groin soreness since hitting an infield single in Tuesday's contest, per Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The injury isn't considered serious, though it will be enough to prevent him from playing Thursday. Luke Williams will pick up another start at the hot corner as a result and bat ninth.

Cam Smith 3B | HOU
Cubs' Cam Smith: Dominant start to pro career
Smith was promoted from Single-A Myrtle Beach to High-A South Bend on Tuesday.
The 14th overall pick in this year's draft, Smith hit .313 with six homers in 15 games at Single-A, so it was time for more of a challenge. He's hitting .500 with one double, two strikeouts and one walk in two games at High-A.

Aaron Schunk 3B | ATL
Rockies' Aaron Schunk: Clobbers first homer in win
Schunk went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in Wednesday's win over the Marlins.
The 27-year-old walked in his first trip to the plate and advanced to second on an infield single from Charlie Blackmon, but the infielder would be left stranded after the next three batters went down in succession. Schunk came up big in his second at-bat, however, launching a 429-foot solo homer in the fifth to put the Rockies on top 3-2. He went on to reach three times in the contest while logging his third multi-hit performance of the campaign. It also marked Schunk's first long ball of the season, and he's now recorded an RBI in each of his last two starts.

Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Homers in loss
Chisholm went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a stolen base and a walk in a loss to the Nationals on Wednesday.
Chisholm put the Yankees on the board with a second-inning solo shot, but New York scored only once more in the defeat. The long ball was Chisholm's second in his past three games and pushed his season total to a career-high 22. Chisholm has looked fine at the plate since returning from an elbow injury last Friday, going 6-for-22 (.273 average) with four extra-base hits, three runs and three RBI across six contests.

Andruw Monasterio 3B | BOS
Brewers' Andruw Monasterio: Logs sixth steal
Monasterio went 0-for-1 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Giants.
Monasterio has seen little playing time while occupying a short-side platoon role since the All-Star break. He's gone 5-for-22 over his last 14 contests while serving as an infield depth option. For the year, he has a poor .208/.322/.277 slash line with one home run, six steals, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored over 118 plate appearances.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Braves' Gio Urshela: Getting night off
Urshela is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Minnesota.
Urshela had made eight straight starts after joining Atlanta's roster Aug. 20 but will get a breather during Wednesday's series finale. Luke Williams is receiving a rare start at third base.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Taking seat Wednesday
Marte is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
Marte has struggled mightily at the plate overall since completing his 80-game suspension to begin the season and joining the Reds in late June, though his bat has been starting to come around lately. Over his last six contests, Marte has gone 7-for-21 with a home run and two stolen bases, bringing his batting average back to the Mendoza Line (.200) on the season. Despite the recent surge, Marte will cede his spot at third base to the even hotter-hitting Santiago Espinal, who has pushed his way into an everyday role for the Reds while seeing action at a number of different positions.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Getting breather Wednesday
Lewis is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus Atlanta.
Lewis is going through a rare slump at the plate, having posted a .458 OPS with no home runs and a 16:2 K:BB over his last 55 plate appearances. He'll get a day off to reset. Jose Miranda will start at third base for the Twins on Wednesday.
