Gelof is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Gelof will hit the bench for the first time since receiving a promotion from Triple-A Las Vegas following the All-Star break. While starting at second base in each of his first five big-league contests, Gelof went 4-for-19 with two doubles, one triple, one walk, three runs, two RBI and two stolen bases. Jordan Diaz will spell him at the keystone in the series finale.

Walls will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Walls remains without a direct path to a spot in the everyday lineup, but he's picked up starts in four of the Rays' first six games out of the All-Star break at either second base, third base or shortstop. He'll be filling Wednesday for a resting Wander Franco, but despite his versatility, Walls isn't expected to handle a near-everyday role for the balance of the season while all of Tampa Bay's key infielders are available. Walls got off to a strong start to the season at the plate, but since the beginning of June, he's turned in a woeful .152/.264/.200 slash line.

Segura is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Cardinals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Segura will get a breather after he went 1-for-8 with a walk and a strikeout over the first two games of the series. Jon Berti will take over at third base and bat sixth in the series finale with St. Louis.

Bride owns a .381 average, 1.128 OPS and modest 15.1 percent strikeout rate over the 53 plate appearances covering his last 11 games with Triple-A Las Vegas.

The 27-year-old is back to thriving in the Pacific Coast League, something he's consistently been able to do through his multiple stints with the Aviators over the last season-plus. Bride went 0-for-8 in his first two games back with Las Vegas after being demoted from the Athletics, but he's since churned out six multi-hit efforts, five extra-base hits, eight RBI, 11 walks and 15 runs over the ensuing 11-game span. Bride could potentially earn another call to the big leagues later this summer or upon roster expansion during the final month-plus of the regular season.

Riley went 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and seven RBI in Tuesday's 16-13 loss to the Diamondbacks.

The seven RBI were a career best for Riley, as he launched a three-run shot off Zach Davies in the fourth inning and a two-run blast off Austin Adams in the sixth. The third baseman once again appears to be heating up along with the weather -- over his last 24 games, he's slashing .277/.342/.525 with seven of his 18 homers and 18 of his 52 RBI on the season.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Devers (calf) worked out prior to Tuesday's game, but he may not start Wednesday's series finale in Oakland, MLB.com reports.

With an off day coming Thursday, the Red Sox could make sure Devers is 100 percent when the team opens a homestand against the Mets on Friday. That the report indicates Devers may not start Wednesday suggests he could be available as a pinch hitter. Justin Turner has been filling in for Devers at third base.

Suarez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 10-3 loss to the Twins.

Suarez homered for the second game in a row, giving him five homers in July. The third baseman is up to 13 long balls, 56 RBI, 39 runs scored and a stolen base while slashing .226/.325/.387 through 94 contests overall. While Suarez continues to struggle to hit for average, he's starting to break through in the power department while occupying a spot in the middle of the Mariners' lineup, though he was bumped up to the No. 2 hole with Julio Rodriguez resting Tuesday.

Farmer went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Mariners.

After a 23-game span with no homers, Farmer's gone deep in two of his last three games. The infielder is up to six long balls, 21 RBI, 29 runs scored and one stolen base while slashing .246/.313/.393 over 66 contests this season. Farmer should remain a fixture in the lineup versus left-handed pitchers, but he may lose more time against righties once Jorge Polanco (hamstring) returns from the injured list.

Garcia went 2-for-4 with one double and four RBI in Tuesday's 11-10 victory over Detroit.

Garcia broke out of a small slump Tuesday, tallying a pair of hits after entering the contest 3-for-26 (.115) in his last seven outings. Among the pair of hits was a two-RBI double off Beau Brieske in the sixth. With four RBI on the day, Garcia set a single-game career high in that category.

McMahon went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's victory over Houston.

McMahon teamed up with Kris Bryant in the first inning for back-to-back homers off Hunter Brown, marking McMahon's 15th long ball of the season and his third of July. Tuesday's multi-hit effort snapped a mini-slump for McMahon, who entered the contest 1-for-12 (.083) across his last three appearances. The infielder is slashing .257/.336/.466 through 92 games and could push for a career high in homers.
