Dodgers' Max Muncy: Dealing with Grade 2 strain
MRI results revealed Wednesday that Muncy has a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
Manager Dave Roberts said the Dodgers won't place Muncy on the injured list just yet, and the hope is for Muncy to return Saturday against the Giants. The 32-year-old third baseman has already missed two games due to his hamstring strain and could still end up on the IL if he's not ready to come back this weekend.

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Out again with hamstring strain
Muncy (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Muncy tweaked his left hamstring during Sunday's game in Philadelphia and has now sat out two in a row. It's not clear at this point whether he might require a stint on the injured list, as he was expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday to provide more clarity. Chris Taylor is at third base Wednesday.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Sitting out Wednesday
Moncada is not in the starting lineup versus the Dodgers on Wednesday.
Moncada has struggled mightily as of late with a slash of .139/.162/.250 over 36 at-bats in the month of June and no multi-hit games since May 16 versus Cleveland. Jake Burger is hitting fifth and playing third base while Moncada takes a seat.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Angels' Gio Urshela: Sitting out again Wednesday
Urshela (back) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Rangers, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
He's now been out of the lineup for four straight contests and five of the last six while dealing with a back problem. Anthony Rendon's return has had an effect on Urshela's playing time, as well.

Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA
Cubs' Nick Madrigal: Starting again Wednesday
Madrigal is starting at third base and batting ninth in Wednesday's game against the Pirates, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
It's Madrigal's fourth straight start at third base and fifth straight start overall, as he appears to have emerged as Cubs manager David Ross' preferred option at the hot corner for the time being. Madrigal hasn't exactly earned it with his bat, as he has a .584 OPS on the season and a .564 OPS in four games since his recall.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Giants' J.D. Davis: Nursing low-grade ankle sprain
Davis confirmed after Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Cardinals that he's dealing with a Grade 1 right ankle sprain, which he suspects will keep him out of the lineup for 3-to-10 days, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The low-grade ankle sprain is considered a best-case scenario for Davis, who picked up what appeared to be a more serious injury in Tuesday's 11-3 win. The Giants are hoping that Davis shows enough improvement by the weekend to avoid a stint on the injured list, though he's certainly not out of the woods yet. David Villar and Casey Schmitt will likely pick up most of the reps at third base for however long Davis is sidelined.

Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA
Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: On bench again
Wisdom is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Pirates, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Wisdom has started just one of the last four games and that was at designated hitter, as it seems he might have lost the third base job to Nick Madrigal. The 31-year-old has just a .552 OPS along with a 43.3 percent strikeout rate since May 1.

Nick Maton DH | CHW
Tigers' Nick Maton: Sitting out second game
Maton is not in the lineup for the second game of a twin bill versus Atlanta on Wednesday.
Maton went 0-for-1 with a run scored while drawing a walk in the first game of the doubleheader. The infielder will take a break during the second game with Jonathan Schoop handling the hot corner and hitting sixth.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Gets rest Wednesday
Garcia is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Reds, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
Garcia will take a seat after he went 1-for-8 with a walk and a strikeout while starting the first two contests of the series with Cincinnati. Nicky Lopez will take over at the hot corner and bat seventh in the series finale Wednesday.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Gets third consecutive start
Urias will start at third base and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
He'll pick up his third consecutive start versus a right-handed pitcher after going 6-for-10 with two doubles, four runs and two RBI over the Orioles' previous two contests. With Ryan Mountcastle (illness) recently joining Cedric Mullins (groin) on the 10-day injured list, the Orioles could have a near-everyday role available for Urias until one of those two injured regulars returns to action.
