The Mariners designated Zavala for assignment Saturday.

Langeliers' seventh-inning, 412-foot shot to center closed the Athletics' deficit to 3-2, which would turn out to be the final score. It was the 16th homer across 75 games -- and third in the last nine -- for Langeliers, who appears very likely to surpass the career-best 22 he slugged last season if he's able to avoid any extended absences.

Wong isn't in Boston's lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Quero was promoted to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, MLB.com reports.

Quero maintained an .823 OPS with 12 home runs and 53 RBI across 292 plate appearances with Double-A Birmingham. It would be a surprise to see him reach the majors in 2024, though a debut early in 2025 is certainly realistic.

Naylor went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one stolen base in Thursday's 8-4 win over the White Sox.

Naylor has gone 13-for-36 (.361) with seven extra-base hits and eight RBI over his last 12 contests. His steal Thursday was his second of the campaign on three attempts. While he doesn't offer much speed, he's started to hit well enough to maintain steady playing time behind the dish, though he's at a .203/.272/.330 slash line through 61 games overall. Austin Hedges is backing up Naylor at catcher while David Fry has seen most of his recent playing time at designated hitter.

Wells went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to Cincinnati.

Wells put the Yankees on the board in the fifth inning with a 423-foot solo blast to center field. Of the backstop's past four hits, three (two homers and a double) have gone for extra bases. Wells continues to split time with Jose Trevino behind the plate -- each catcher has started four times over New York's past eight contests.
