As part of the lineup shuffle, Christian Vazquez will play third base and Matt Wallner will DH. Jeffers owns an .804 OPS with 14 home runs across 289 plate appearances this season.

Perez (cramps) will serve as Kansas City's designated hitter and bat fourth Saturday against the Red Sox.
Perez had to leave Friday's contest in the eighth inning due to cramping, but he seems to be feeling well enough to hit Saturday while Freddy Fermin starts behind the dish. Perez is currently enjoying a six-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-23 with two homers and seven RBI.

Red Sox's Connor Wong: Getting breather Saturday
Wong isn't in the Red Sox's lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Wong went 0-for-4 with a strikeout during a loss in Friday's series opener, and he'll now take a seat after making five consecutive starts. In his place, Reese McGuire will start behind the plate and bat eighth.

Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Plates pair in Friday's win
Langeliers went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles in a win over the Phillies on Friday.
The backstop came through with two clutch knocks, driving home Miguel Andujar in the third and extending a one-run lead in the fifth with another single that plated Max Schuemann. Langeliers has now hit the 50-RBI mark for the season, and Friday's game was his sixth straight with at least one RBI. The 26-year-old has a trio of multi-hit efforts in that span, along with a .462 average with runners on base.

Yankees' Carlos Narvaez: Recalled from Triple-A
The Yankees recalled Narvaez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
With Jose Trevino (quad) headed to the injured list, Narvaez will rejoin the big-league roster in order to provide additional depth behind the plate. The 25-year-old backstop has slashed .269/.386/.443 with nine homers and 47 RBI across 308 plate appearances in Triple-A, and he'll be making his MLB debut whenever he appears in a game.

Yankees' Jose Trevino: Lands on injured list
The Yankees placed Trevino on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left quad strain.
Trevino hurt his quad while running to home plate in the ninth inning of Friday's contest, and he'll now be out until at least July 23 as a result. Carlos Narvaez will come up from Triple-A to fill in as Austin Wells' backup at catcher.

Rogers will take a seat against Justin Wrobleski and the Dodgers on Saturday after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Friday's series opener. Carson Kelly will get the nod behind the plate and bat sixth.
